I joined in my first book coven meeting last week and I loved it so much! Just on a one box trial though. I already have a sky high stack of witchy books and I read a chapter or two out of one every day but I've told myself when I finally finish them all I will treat myself to a full book subscription. Thanks for bringing us all together this way!
A very interesting fact is the difference of perceptions of elements in human cultures. In different cultures we not only have different correspondeces and opinions and traditions regarding elements, but we also have different ideas on what an element is, and which are the basic elements. In taoism and chinese culture the elements are five, earth, wood, metal, fire and water. In other cultures the elements are four: fire, water, air and earth, so the question is: if we think about a universal perspective, what are the elements? Can something beyond what we're used to be spiritually consider an element? We know about 4 elements, but how many elements are there in nature and how many can be added to those 4 in witchcraft? We could discover that there's more to it than what we're used to. A book to deepen this knowledge would be amazing
Reading it now and I hope to have it completed by the zoom meeting in five days. I should have it read, just don't know if I will have the other one read by then. This one called to me first and foremost. I am loving it so far, always had an infinity with water, I am a water sign and always drawn to water even before I could swim. As a witch I use it a lot in my craft too. Learning some new things from this book.
I started the book and I am wowed by all the information. I am a lover of the ocean and would live on the beach if I could, but you dont have to love water to get something out of this book. Celtic traditions fascinate me as well! @catherinehayes are you located in Missouri by chance? I love the river too!!
I'm currently reading this book. Wondering if you could recommend a book that goes deeper into swamp/marsh witchcraft as I live surrounded by the beauties of those types of lands and waters. I find dead bugs, bones, snake skins, and I have all manner of plant life found there. I just don't know how to incorporate them in my practice yet.
The boooooooks 📚 Subscription was sent out on time, I already received mine last week. I would double check your tracking email. 🤞 Fingers crossed you get yours soon. 🤗
I am so excited!!! You don't find many books on river witches!! I grow up on the Missouri River and have been a River witch all my life. I was born in July and my dad had me in the River when I was less than a month old. I could swim before I could walk or talk. If you ever want to do a box on River Magick I would love to help. I learned a lot from the Ozark witch doctor. She past some time ago but she showed me the old Magick. Beautiful but dirty at the same time. If anyone wants to talk about it just hit up. I live in Jefferson city mo. There are no witches around here and I love to talk Magick and learn new ways. Thank you again blessed be to all the beautiful witches out there ✨️
