Mr Gibbons, humbly, I think the way is to use the Offset filter. It seems to me that offset filter is a better method to make seamless texture in Ps. Thanks!
@@WillGibbons😬Sorry, my bad. I commented without finishing watching the video. You did indeed use off set. I usually do it from the beginning and then do the other adjustments. I'm going to try your method. again sorry
Great PS based technique, thank you Will. Appreciate the tip regarding the potential software shortcut at the end. I'd like to add to the discussion an approach I've been using for a while now which utilizes the free software Materialize from Bounding Box Software. Great set of tools to turn an image into its various KS material graph counterparts for further tweaking in KS. The "Tile Maps" module can knock out a rudimentary seamless texture quite easily. Cheers, M
Gracias
Hi, you are correct. Only KeyShot materials can be rendred in KeyShot. Once you export, the materials/textures won't come with it. The only way would be GLB/GLTF I think. It's not what you're looking for though I don't think. Here's more information on that: manual.keyshot.com/manual/models-tab/export/export-formats/
@@WillGibbons, yes, you're right. I was thinking about seamless connections and completely forgot about other eye-catching details. Thank you for your answers.
Many, many thanks Will, PixPlant is UNBELIVIABLE!!!!!!
It is. I've very little experience with it, but it's instantly worth it.
Agree that the process in PS can be tedious and frustrating; so, your tip to the app at the end is super helpful. Excellent video! Again!
Great! For sure, the right tools can make a world of difference. Thanks!
love this. thank for all ❤
Cool!
Awesome Vid, Will. Thank You
Thanks! Happy to share. :)
Extremelyyy Helpful. Thank you so much Will!! This was so quick. 💯
PBR materials someday please…
Happy to hear that. Yeah, sorry. Hope it wasn't too fast. I want to make sure I respect everybody's time.

I did use/show the offset filter. Is there a different one that I didn't use? I'm always interested in learning more.

Awesome, thanks for sharing. Sounds like there are a handful of good texture creation software I wasn't aware of!
What about using Affinity Painter or Substance Sampler.
I've never used either of them. Have you?

Please sir, make some toturials for beginners.
Check the other videos on my channel. I'd say most of them are beginner-friendly.
Just curious, why not simply mirror it? Mirroring should make this texture naturally seamless, isn't it?
Btw, the tutorial is awesome.
There is no way in KeyShot to mirror a texture. KeyShot is tiling (repeating the texture) many times vertically and horizontally.
@@WillGibbons Yeah, I meant to mirror it in photoshop once (horizontally and vertically, to make it like 2x2), and then use it in KeyShot.
It'd still be an obvious pattern because the grain wasn't straight and the color was not uniform. Go ahead and try it and see how it works out!
