The context you’re missing is that Mike brags he’s a pro. He brags he’s getting all these contract offers and giving out advice like he’s a pro. He’s making amateur mistakes and calling himself a pro. If you critique him as a pro it’s hilarious how bad he is. If you critique him as an amateur, he’s got a good baseline athletically though he is out of shape. The thing is, as a I mentioned in the first bit, he is not a pro. He should be judged as a weirdo talking a big game when it’s obvious he’s only doing it to pretend to be relevant in his social media online bubble.
7:30 The reason Goulremi is so mad with mike isint because hes bad in goal, he even says hes solid later in the video, but he says hes a professional which would mean he would have to have that experience to know not to cheat to one side. Good video though nice to have another Goalkeeping channel i can watch.
You don’t know the business side of football. He has a large following, so teams would sign him for exposure. Trust me some low level pro teams would sign him just bc of his following
Have to disagree on the inexperience whre he was accused to be "lazy". If you are not playing at a pro level, you are well aware that your defender with the ball inside your box is often more dangerous than than the enemy :D I never played at a super high level, and I know that if my teammates are with the ball inside the box not trying to kick it away, I should be ready for what's coming
What gk goalremi meant why say you’re working so hard in every video and we see play and it resembles a complete opposite. That played and most of them did seem that he wasn’t giving all effort. But I also do not agree 100 percent with gol Remi in everything.
I am maybe using my judo training. My sport is more futsal. Goalkeeping is about reading your oppoment to me. It looked like the defenders weren't good to me and he had to read three people at once. It's a difficuly situation.
I have very fast reactions. That alone made me an okay keeper (at Sunday league level, not pro lol), there's so much more to it though. Closing the ball down and keeping good angles. Have to be very brave to be a good goalkeeper.
I love your videos!! Keep it up. I too am a fellow goalkeeper. I started playing at 10, and I am now 12. always loved your videos and learned about Modern Goalkeeping early. I always wished for a goalkeeper like you to make a match analysis on my games.
18:33 yeah that's the context I think you're missing. this guy mike always talking about being a pro, training as a pro, but really just disrespectfully faking being a pro. so at the very least you have to criticize him at a "pro" standard
I'm no keeper but as a centre back Dede and Felipe Santana are absolutely shocking in some of these clips. Those guys had 400 appearances in the BL between them.
"Its just a lack of experience" as an argument kinda falls on its face considering Mike claims he had an offer for the Russian Premier league. Someone "good enough for the Russian Prem", who sells merch based on being as good as the Pros, just doesn't get that slack.
The analasis would be correct if he was starting out or count as an amature goalie, but he calls himself a professional with a professional contract, pretty sure he made a video where he just went to a russian pro club where he got a "contract" even though he was there to just advertise...
GKGOLUREMI I feel was verh harsh just due to ModerGoalkeeping claiming he was getting pro team trials and always claims he's a professional, so I believe Goluremi critiqued him as if he was a pro.
i’m probably not better than modern goalkeeping in his abilities but for sure you can tell he just does training videos instead of playing as those 2 goals were both avoidable and decent saves, i play with players from England 6 aside, my technique isn’t the best i be honest but i think i’m very great at understanding the game and knowing where the ball moves which make me a great shot stopper and same with the other keeper i play/train with
Wait a second... At year 2 of my non-professional games I had enough technique to stand up quickly and enough experience to scream at my defenders to clear up the ball being myself ready for anything if they will fail (and often they will). How this guy who trains way more than I did back then and who should have thousands of friendly and training matches behind his belt not be experienced enough for that?! I find the argument 'he has not enough experience in matches' for the goalkeeper he positions himself to be absolutely inexcusable and not relevant. If he is who he says he is, he have to have that amount of experience. You don't just train and not play training, friendly, amateur league matches. Don't you? Otherwise, how do you expect to be signed by professional clubs without any real GK experience?
i’m not sure how old are you but you are completely wrong, i used to think the same as a 13/14 year old but as a pro you have to be able to do the basics 10/10 times and have at least a 7/10 game minimum, why do you think when you watch prem games you rarely see a prem keeper make a mistake in a intense 90 minute Game and when they do make a mistake it’ll affect their career drastically, i finally realised its not being able to save top bins shot but understanding the game and have a good reading, distribution and save the basic

the problem is, Mike says hes a professional and constantly says he gets offers from clubs to play for them, which just isnt true

@Roandre13 the meatriding is crazy

W vid bro keep up the good work🔥I love the long form content and your analyzing really helps me learn and improve in goal
the natural synergy between macklin and tyler is always so cool to see

is the pitch on the videos even full size it looks so small?

Yes, but you're not remembering the fact that Mike plays himself off as a pro

Mike isn't that bad
He just have really annoying personality and things he deserves to be professional and is better than some pros
Mate, have you seen him play at the TST ? He was awful, the difference between a very good amaetur and a pro player is massive
