That's already super impressive not many kids played in an proffessional top team academy. I started competetive footy late and I'm good enough for an academy. I train everyday but i'm 14 and its hard to join an academy at my age. Womp Womp ig
@@timwunenraged901 listen man, keep your head up and believe in yourself. Honestly id rather be in your situation because at least you have hope. Ive known for years now that i would never make it in football and its pretty depressing so keep your head up and train hard. My advice, ask your coach or people at your club if they can put you in higher/more competitive games. That way your chances of being scouted increase. Its true getting scouted at you age is tough but id say until the age of 16 you still have a chance

@@timwunenraged901sometimes academies don’t matter. if you’re only 14 you can play semi pro in 2 years for lower level sides and work your way up if you train hard and keep the right attitude. you’re 14 man, you got the whole world in front of you and all you gotta do is take it. self belief goes the mile!

Modern GK is just uploading content for social media clout and nothing more. I've seen more than just you exposing this fraud.
On another note, my 15 year old GK has trained for one with with a D-1 goalkeeper at a local college. We have one more session before he goes back to England until July when we will pick up again. He has complemented my son's techniques and has really helped him improve. The great thing is, this guy is a freshman, so we should be able to train with him for the next few years.

I'm not knocking on goalkeeping content, and I am sure it takes some skill to make those top corner saves, but there is a huge difference between content vs real matches.

What matters is the 90 minutes, where he doesnt shine at all.
I mean really, he plays like a 14 years old solid 4th div. keeper. Give him a few years experience in a club and maybe he gets pro.
Sure, maybe if he wasn’t like 28 years old and 5ft 10. The reality is he does solo GK contact and has never talked about how to communicate with a team, which is 30% of being a GK. When you watch his actual gameplay, which is obviously edited to show bias, it shows someone who has zero clue how to operate on the field.
It’s crazy to me how this is reality. I have lost a lot of respect to professional soccer players. Why the fuck are they talking to these clowns, modern GK, speed, ksi Logan etc it’s so sad. Instead of letting an actual fans interact with them.
It's crazy to me how much of a baby you sound like. This guy has uploaded countless tutorials with really good information that goalkeepers all around the world can watch for free. But you are this upset because some of his videos are on commentary around goalkeeping from other RUclipsrs? If you don't like those videos don't watch them. The entitlement from you who has also probably contributed basically nothing to the soccer/goalkeeping community on or offline is pretty sad man.

It’s really sad to see that he still has a platform. Between the lies about his contract and including a war setting him back, and the dangerous drills he puts children through he should not be in the position he’s in. As a coach, mind you not the greatest coach out there, Mike teaches so many terrible things that can become problematic for the kids he’s teaching.

When I played as a GK, my keeper trainer (ex military) was the beeest, If I didn't get up and set within half a second of hitting the ground I had to do 10 pushups. if I conceded a goal, even one I wasn't going to get, I had to do 10 pushups, If I was out of position I had to do 10 pushups, basically, if I did anything wrong at all, no matter how small, I had pushups coming my way. And it really showed in games, Ive had many times where I had been pummeled by shots at goal but was still able to keep going because of the training I had

This is really weird as a Ukrainian did this in the ufc as well. He got a contract by making a heap of fake promotions and fight fliers. Seems like that the usual Ukrainian garb when your not good enough. In the end that guy had 1 fight in the ufc and was monstered by another guy who didn't keep his place in the ufc for long.

I think that Modern Goalkeeping is too small (short) for an under 15's team, never mind a pro team. And that's not even considering the lack of skill. What kind of joke is this?
Example: I'm 191cm (avg goalkeeper height, more towards smaller side) and had a very short semi-pro career because I wasn't skilled enough (too slow mostly), but I was more capable than that little guy.
Its not all about how tall he is, let's not forget that
Not the height. Several people are shorter than 6'2 and play just fine at keeper. MGKs issues go waaaaaay beyond his height.

Very few professional goalkeepers are 6'2 (188cm) or smaller in the modern game.
I bet you can't find more than one in the premier league.
They're all over 195cm with incredible speed and agility. The game changed a lot in the last 20 years - mostly because they balls got a lot lighter IMO.
@MrWARRIORMONKS that's not true. There are a handful of 5'11 GKs and up in the EPL. But that's just one league. There are several STARTERS across the professional leagues. I tend to agree that the modern game requires height (I'm 5'11" and played lower division in Scotland in the early 2000s), but there are plenty of exceptions. I have no idea how tall MGK is, but if he was 6'5" with his same skillset, he'd have difficulty as a pro. Height is not his problem here.

4:28 Somebody should've told him that saying things that aren't true, like becoming pro within a couple years in a nice outfit, is just going to make it harder for others because they will struggle with achieving the promises and expect too much from themselves until they find out they're on a dead end. If he talked about his struggles of getting attention for his ideas, he'd have just as many views.
