Congrats keep up the good work I am disappointed in myself bc I was a black belt in taekwondo but after moving twice and getting rapped up in life I had no time to continue so now that I have time im trying to get back with it 🤣🤣🤣I went from a black belt to a white belt 🤣🤣🤣😭😖😭😖
Thanks for the video and putting together the program! I started Muay Thai 2 months ago and practicing kicks is so rewarding but the head kicks are so tough! I hadn't thought to strengthen my abductors in addition to stretching, that makes a lot of sense. Excited to try this out and keep improving, thanks again
Thank you I just ordered your Flexibility Course. I've been pretty flexible but being in the military and away from home for so long I've slacked a lot in my training. So thank you for all your helpful videos, and motivating me to get back serious into my craft. I'm a Shrin ryu martial artist
I'm really enjoying this new series of videos youve been working on. You and Shane from fightTips are really motivating me to buckle down and take training seriously. You guys should definitely collab some time.
Great video! And you're right is having that end goal. My goal is probably being about to question mark kick people in sparring.. Right now can shoulder kick people going up which is pretty easy. I basically worked myself up from the kitchen bench to the shoe cabinet where the front foot is beyond my head using yoga blocks for height. Motivated by your videos! ❤
Just finished week 4. The half squat stretch is one of the most difficult ones for me. Also on the squat stretch I cant keep my balance and need to hold on to something but I still get a good stretch in. The program takes nearly an hour daily but will push to finish the 12 weeks. Great program so far.
Good to know that you struggled like us regular joes. My kicks have somewhat improved to be higher. Ever since getting a door leg stretcher I’ve seen better results.
I am practicing karate since 2 yrs and every Monday, Wednesday and Friday I stretch in my dojo. First 5 to 6 months of joining karate my stretching was very bad but because I did it consistently for 2 yrs now and I have improved my stretching as well as kicking. It's just consistency.
Brother please teach us martial arts, i live in a place where martial art is not popular and there is no hope to learn martial art. Can you please make a full series of teaching martial arts. This will help us a lot 🙏🫶
Been using your program, my left leg has gotten way better at side kicks, I can control it well and get it to a decent height, sadly my right leg is still slacking behind but it’ll get there soon, it’s my bad leg which explains why.
Hi nat keep up the great work you inspire me everyday to get my black belt and i’m almost there so thank you so much you are amazing have a good day please
Some times i can't focus in your talking because you are so handsome bro 😊 but definetly you are a really martial artist i get benifit from you keep working
Hey man I bought your program because despite years of training (and some bad injuries on the way) I totally lost my left high kick. I think that your exercises can bring something new to my boring stretching routine that clearly doesn't help me anymore
I've been doing karate for half a year now, from the day I started I streched for 10 minutes every day. After about 2 months I was able to kick head level. It was scuffed but it got the job done. Am I just lucky that I got head level kicks this fast?
Thank you for the video Nat I really appreciate it. I'm aiming to achieve the side splits and I'm going to train by holding the side split position for 5 mins every day (I'll also do a warm up before I do it) it's not easy but nothing worth having comes easy so I'll do whatever I can and try. Once again i appreciate your tips, thank you 👍 Also I have been training for the splits before about a year ago but now I'm going to push myself and hopefully eventually achieve the splits and I can do head height kicks but I do need to work on balence
I’m Super Close Just 2more Inches Left Just Hold That Position And That’s It. When I First Tried I Didn’t Like But When Tried After Multiple Days Before There Was No Pain Just That Comfortable Uncomfortable Feeling. I’m Happy It Isn’t Torture For Me And I Get Excited To Do It
thank you this is helpful I have been training Muay Thai for 16 years but recently started ITF taekwondo and want to upgrade my kicks tkd kicks are really something else 😮 I have never felt so much power in kicks when I held a kicking shield for the first time for the black belts, muay thai kicks are very powerful but not like tkd kicks
Kicking high is really fun, that's all you need to know And if you are lucky like me, you'll be naturally really flexible and get to that goal even faster
For people who don't know if they should buy this course. Buy it, It made me significantly more fllexible in less than 2 months. My coach is impressed. I recommend it to anyone who wants to kick higher
hey nat, i have a question how do you train your reflexes at home? like is there a way to do that without a sparring partner? oh and also, about conditioning your knuckles, how do you go about that?
Hey I wanted to say that I've been doing your flexibility routine for about a month and I notice that I havnt notice a single change of my mobility, my kick power is pretty strong but when ever I try to kick even at waist level I am very stiff and it's pretty painful,I warm up for a pretty decent time before stretching 7-8 min of cardiovascular exercises and I've had my own stretching/Hip strengthening routine way before this one idk maybe its just my genetics
I was OK but recently I feel stiffer and loss of explosivity in my kicks. And I've light contact on 10th 😢. I've been stretching a lot for the past 15 days.
I have just started to be able to kick high and start with martial arts that can be combined with my parkour training. Also, you can also stretch your legs against a wall that is used similarly as that leg stretcher, but thanks for this video.
I find my balance + lack of hip mobility hold me back. I can't kick slow and controlled because A) can't get my leg up and B) fall over. Not as bad doing a kick and step forward, but on the spot and back to guard I look like I've had 8 pints.
I was wondering if for a future video, you could maybe show us a basic stretch or two from the program for free just so we can try at home and see if it works!
hey while watching this i thought i know your not an mma fighter but you should ask the subs to send your their mma/boxing/sambo/maui thai/ footage and you break it down on video, just an idea! thanks for the stretches❤
Fun fact when you only learn and master taekwando or boxing you can easily learn other types of martial arts in no time. Because this both make you arm and legs strong and flexible and you get perfect body for learning other martial arts. Ooh sorry not learn you can copy.
Thank you for all of the advice and tips Sensei Nathaniel! For me therefore my flexibility has successfully improved and this doesn’t indicate I have followed your flexibility program meaning I actually done it with independence which is where my middle split is 93% complete. And yes I 300% agreed that you have to put in the work to see incredible results from high flexibility. Keep it up the intense willpower Nathaniel!👍👍👍
I’m tired, it’s 5 am, but out of pure curiosity, I must ask, is it possible to learn martial arts properly online rather than taking classes in person?
My goal was to be able to do headkicks and realized I wasn't improving the way I wanted to. Your program has helped a lot, though it hasn't helped as much as fighting only small children so the extra flexibility isn't needed
You know, I've had the program for quite some time and I thought it wouldn't help me at all, because I got to the half of if it and I was still having trouble kicking. What I realised much later though was that my split got deeper, my hamstrings got less painful and I had much more balance in my kicks, even if they weren't head level. I am willing to start again, with the determination to complete it and I'll document the results. Heck, I may even make a series which I'll upload here
Well a small amount of it wont only come from the course but for example just doing your own shadowboxing or hitting the heavy-bag as its repetition and consistency yk?
in muay thai if i do lower kick with right leg i keep my right leg forward than left one and then move my left leg one step ahead and kick with right one or should i keep my right leg behind left one while kicking with right leg ? which one method is correct effective ,powerful and balancing ,, i hope u understood me ☺️😁 😍👈💪✌️🥰
I think I have hurt my soft tissues on the outer sides of my knees, and whenever I get up from sitting down this part hurts, but the pain goes away after a while. My husband said it is due to overstretching. have you ever experienced something like this? is it possible to hurt your soft tissues from stretching?
Can You please make a video on how to start as a beginner and reach a decent Level where you can atleast fight a little,At HOME,Leave the Hardwork and consistency to us😉(To Elaborate Furthur it,just a guide introducing simple but effective combos or punches and kicks that one can practice at Home, along with footwork and stretching techniques)
I love your videos! They have helped me alot the last time I went to my class and trained my opponent was trying to roll me but as she threw me pretty far I landed on my rib and got the wind knocked out of me,at that point I didn't do that good defending because I didn't land to break the fall correctly has this ever happened to you?
Nat sir, do you have any advice on stretching for badminton? I actually play badminton, so i need explosive fast muscles... I think those are needed in karate and BJJ (I don't know what BJJ is but i have seen him do some of its moves ;-;), so can you tell some stretches for that? namely glutes, abductors, biceps, triceps, upper pecs, and obviously, hamstring, the main thing...
I've been doing Taekwondo for five years now and while I can easily kick above head-height and have good control and balance, I still lack the ability to do vertical kicks or the splits. What would you say are some tips for people who are close but cannot break through to getting the splits?
Nat, would it possible for you to upload a video regarding Shotokan Karate? That's my current martial art that I'm doing (orange belt level), and I'm interesting in knowing your opinion on the style, and if you're seasoned in it.
My also main comment, breath into your stretches. Slowly try and relax into it and breath deep though the burn and not try and push yourself it too hardcore as your muscles will resist and fight it, and you wont actually get as deep,
