2:08 The hidden "sword double jump" technique 😂
Is that what that was, when I first saw it my initial reaction was "Nuh Ugh!!!" 😂
The end from when they charge at each other to the Samurai dying gazing at the sea. Is a very philosophical moment. The main character choosing peace instead of hate, the Samurai staying true to his honor. To see him pass away looking toward the sea, where Japan is. It's very inspiring!
He's looking at the US, 'cause he knows what's going to happen in the future with the bombs.
yeah, the samurai were kind of death cultists. He was basically wearing a deathrobe(the white kimono) so he figured he was dead from the start. The Chinese guy found love in this movie and had something to live for.
@@Darwingreen5 👍👍👍
sentimental swordsman posted a recording but that's all I could find
FINALLY!!! Someone else appreciates this movie! I saw this movie in my youth one night. I woke up and it was on TV and it got my attention due to the honor these men had with each other and the way the fight took on a more-realistic sense (meaning basically losing body parts in a sword fight). When I saw this movie, there was no internet yet and American TV did not show such brutal fights on regular TV back then so this was a shock to me. Every once in a while, I still think about this movie; yet, I had no idea about its title.
Thanks Midnight Pulp!
(^_^)
I can understand Chinese flying but not Japanese.
Japanese fantasy swordsmen have those flash steps.
They ar black belts they should dominate Ki-Chi or something like that.
Personally this is what I wished how the fight between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro would've went down
[Physics and Biology have left the chat]
Damn...these two are REAL MEN! 😭😭😭
I was sooooo pissed as a kid when I found out that swords don't actually make that whoosh sound. 😣
It doesn’t if you move it fast enough
I was more pissed finding out we couldn’t fly
Such a great fight scene.
Did he just double jump off his sword?😂
Yeah, my Dad use to do the same technique but with his rake. That's how he was able to get my cat from the tree.
Brilliant idea 💡 👏
I watched this as a kid. Mum had it on VHS and it probably wasn't anywhere as clear as this.
I showed my friends this while they were all high. They thoroughly enjoyed it as I do each it I watch it
These guys would've been some bad ass jedi fighting the sith.
These actors stood still there for like 40 seconds just for the credit roll before they finally froze the frame lol
😂😂😂
I think it's the left over film

I can't believe this only have 19k views.
this was way before dragonball
It came out the same year as the start of Dragon Ball.
The samurai looks nothing like a Japanese nor are his sword movements anything like they would have been in real life 😅
is the samurai dead? i see he stabbed his own foot to remain upright.
the 80s swordsmanship is more like a transition from 60/70s to the 90s, the character's costum looks like 70s, but the camera movement at shots are similar to the 90s.
Una maravilla de película!!!
Thank for uploading, very high quality
Nice sword fight, but it's sad to see nice looking men cut into pieces. :(
This is movie
W-wow....so many cut aways. Damn, we came a loooong way from editing

I like how neither of these guys are really good or evil, just pawns in pissing contest between two rival factions.
I imagine an anime adaptation but with a different end
The force is with them...
Star Wars series suck cocks. Cheesy Costumes, Bad acting, Lame ass Fight scenes. F#ck the Force.

I liked this film. If only you showed this film in its Cantonese original.
Loved this movie when I was a kid. Came here to find out the name of it again. Thank you for posting it.

RIP Norman Chui (1950 - 2024)
Childhood fave.Such an emotional fight.
So wait… who won?
It is nothing more than a cartoon film
this was before Scorpion vs Sub Zero😂
제목이 생사결 이였음 ㅋ
the film shows bravehood, but at the same time one question, why the neverending brutallity and killings there??
i hope this movie get remake now
兩敗俱傷 出血過多 死亡直前
When me and the old lady argue over who is doing the dishes.
Haters will say it's fake.
Of course it's a movie
I love the theme song
Dude is jumping in mid air by bending his sword and using it as a spring
배경은 한국에서 촬영함
Hayahhh wooyahhh
fake
But they're both Chinese actors 😂😂😂
Very true. But I'd say Norman Chu's samurai is a lot more three dimensional compared to the standard "Japanese villain" in Hong Kong cinema at the time. The arc for this Japanese "antagonist", if you can even call him that, is actually way ahead of its time. Gotta cut some slack for the production, it is a lot easier working with non-foreign actors at that time.
Midnight Pulp ....yes this is one of quite few HK swordplay movies that show Japanese characters in positive light.
Chặt thịt nobita luôn
God they literally flying 😮
Why did he stab his own foot ?
sword penetrated foot and stone to stop his body falling into sea when he died.
So he doesn't fall and disgrace himself.
Too die standing up. With honor.
He meant to stab the ground but missed.
@@matthewbruveris680 Even as a child when I first saw this, I knew that that's not how physics worked, but the stand-up death scene was cool as fuck though, so I'll ignore how laughable the idea was to stab one's own foot to keep standing even in death.
Top fav movies growing up
I didn't know Japanese people could fly.
They can't. This guy's a samurai, samurai jump good.
Norman churchill at his best I like him a lot as an actor
so the chinese won the fight? the japanese died and the chinese became the one armed swordsman. the chinese had his other arm's 4 fingers cut off but he still has his opposable thumb to hold a sword .
I'd about that the Chinese man got his fingers and arm cut off im pretty sure he'd bleed out and depending on where he stabbed the samurai it might not be deadly
bs
Japanese Katana vs Chinese Dao.
Chinese Jian.

The graphics and fighting is rly bad, but hilarious
You are watching it the wrong way bro. Sure is so bad is good, that's why is fucking awesome XD
As a Russian I'll say that is one of the reasons why i love the Japanese it is because they are the true strongest asians ever not the chinese. 🇷🇺🇯🇵🖕🇨🇳
