      - You can make a lot cooler looking skills with visual effect and camera angle but some movement can only be done by a proper actor with training.
      - To be specific, that was the ability to stop your hit in the middle of high-speed movement. Normal actors can make the hit look real but not many can pull the hit midway.
      - But ya, maybe you are too smart to notice such things only fools can understand. :)

Chinese Warrior is beaten by a very simple polearm (or spear) hand-check by siding. In italian traditional Historical Swordmanship, Filo al Fianco con manscetto (interception side with hand-helding shot).
And Yet, it is not possibile with single-handed stick vs. Polearm. Maybe with a sword, and still it would need to be half-sworded with 2 hands in order to do it.
Maybe with heavy Sabre close to hilt and cup, but not sure. Polearm is a tremendous weapon aganist almost every other weapon: in fact Sabre, the ultimate real-time warfare sword, took the best from arming sword, the off-guard from Rapier, and heavyness from poles.

Carece de realismo un palo contra el arma mas pesada del arsenal y peor con un desplazamiento lateral que esta cubiertoy aun peor el final con desarme por golpe al brazo

Yeah, no, that is not how you use a Chinese pole sword. The way the guy is using the pole sword is way too flashy in the same style as he is using the straight sword at the beginning. The straight sword is meant for aristocracy and personal duel so it emphasizes speed and elegance. The pole sword is mean for war used by everyday solider so it emphasizes power. The idea is to draw a circle around you so anyone in that circle that is caught in the heavy blades path gonna get destroyed. So it is a bit of. Shock troops weapon compare to the spear troops which are meant to fight in formation. As such, the blade uses rotational force and should not stop moving unless it makes contact . The the guy just chops up and down then make a full stop of the blade with no transition to side way cut is just laughable. The idea is to cut down the enemy and if the enemy were able to dodge the horizontal cut then the pole sword whielder should spin away using the momentum from the rotTion and at the same time protect against any counter by the opponent by spinning the blade back to keep the enemy outside his circle. If the guy let's the enemy inside with no moving blade then he is screwed cause a heavy weapon like the pole sword can't react fast enough at that distance. So yeah, the way the pole sword is being used is completely wrong in this one.
