Bjorn, Thank you for this lovely video and for making this significant donation to the National Museum. You are a national treasure and I am so sad to see you leave.
There's something surreal about seeing this museum through Bjorn's eyes (camera) as he prepares to leave the US. Also very cool how Little Lonely Doug was the first plants to arrive at Eisei-En, and now one of the last to leave. Full Circle Journey for both Bjorn and the garden. So sad to see him leaving but super exciting to see him on his new adventure!
I visited here in 2022 when I visited NYC and DC. Interesting bus ride as the area is rough as but once you go through the gates to the Arboretum it’s like paradise. Such a massive collection of amazing trees
Been following your channel for years and since I live in DC and have visited and photographed the national bonsai garden many times I cant wait to go and see this wonderful tree!
Fantastic video, Bjorn. That was a great tour of the National Arboretum's amazing Bonsai trees. Congrats (and Thanks) for adding Lil' Doug to this world class collection.
Great to see your tree in the collection. A few years back I was able to see our family friends tree and my uncle’s tree at the museum. Ironically, they were displayed right next to each other.
Amazing tree. Incredible gift. Never been so anxious to go back to DC. Can’t say I love the placement with the writing behind Doug. I’m sure he won’t be there forever.
Hoping we could see those trees again. Specially that massive Turnado tree wich I've been looking forward to see always everytime you have a new upload video. Good luck bjurn and hoping to see more of you japan video...
Interesting story about the bald cypress I saw on display. I think it was donated by Vaughn Banting who started bonsai at age 6 at his family’s nursery in New Orleans. Sadly the Vietnam war interrupted his life and later he developed brain cancer most likely due to agent orange. I remember a story of John Naka visiting Vaughn in New Orleans and as they sat in his back yard Vaughn commented on the noise the cicadas were making and mr naka said “aren’t they beautiful “. To me the Japanese are an interesting people, hence my Japanese wife. I hope to someday visit your nursery in Kyoto. If your ever in Okinawa visit Gold hall, you’ll be amazed at the bonsai there. Cheers.
dear friends I am Bonsai Artist and I am from Pakistan and account do this work in Pakistan so I need one side job in other country some my dear friends can you do something for me

Thank you for your donation to this already stunning collection. I can't wait for an opportunity to travel down from Ontario to see it for myself.
Árvores incriveis, com histórias incriveis. Esse museu em Washington DC é o paraíso do Bonsai. Parabéns por sua importante contribuição.

La vidéo est très intéressante, un grand merci à vous!
I lived 5 minutes from that museum for 9 years.
So Japan gifted the tree that stood in the city that was bombed by the us to the us. What a move. And now Japan receives a bonsai master from the us.
A reminder, that time can make every enemy your friend.
Iconically its styling resembles a mushroom cloud. A hauntingly beautiful statement.
Amazing
👏 AMAZING!
