You just download the free Word templates from KDP, put the jpeg image on the word doc, stretch the image to the edges, and save it as a PDF.

Thank you for this video. I would love to know how to create a daily journal with prompts that a person can download and type in and save to their device.
This is so helpful thank you. I’m in the process of publishing a children’s book, does KPD create your imprint page for you or do you need to type that all out and add it to your manuscript spreads when you upload it to KDP. I recently brought your book ‘Why does the wind move?’ and saw your imprint pages and wondered whether we type it out first or amazon does it? I noticed at the back of your book there’s a page that says ‘printed in Great Britain by amazon’ - does amazon automatically add that for you? Thank you. And is this only the case if you use their own ISBN?
Hi Brittany, sorry I missed your comment. I'm sure you've found the answer to this elsewhere now, but:
1. You must upload your book print ready. Amazon is just a printer and distributor. You add the text to your images.
2. I'm not sure what you mean by imprint, but the copyright etc I wrote myself and added to the print ready file.
Printed in the UK was stamped by Amazon at the time of print. Nothing to do with the isbn, that's just the printing process.
Also, what are the relevant apps I should download to make ebook writing easier for me?
I discovered that you used Canva to create your book cover and it's very beautiful. What are other apps I should have in my device as a newbie?
I just use Google Docs (free) and Canva (paid version). That's it!

It's a wrap around pdf file that needs to have a spine calculated based on your page count.

I completely disagree about typos and misspellings, people value the quality of the info based on how it is presented. And with free tools like Grammarly, there is simply no excuse.
Oops! I uploaded my children's book and it went terribly wrong. I want it to be the same size as you have in this video. I created the book is Canva. I designed each page as a square (thinking each page was separate.) I think I am supposed to create it as a 16.5 in x 8.25 in page. Is that correct? Also, my font is HUGE. I definitely have to reduce that. How big do you make your font? Any insight is much appreciated! Thank you, Cindy

Do you have a video similar to this but for a children’s book? I am not sure how to go about the illustrations. Can we use illustrations from canvas without violating Copyrights? Can you do a video on how you do your illustrations?
Also, if we use canva, do we need to add canva for illustrations credit?

Re canva.... if you are just using photos, you can get royalty free images on canva on their paid plan; however photos are not illustrations. An illustration is a completely unique drawing, painting are digital art created by a professional artist. I recommend hiring an illustrator in my training videos on this in my book course.

Sarah can i self publish a book using my mobile android phone?
You can, yes, but it would be fiddly! You can write the whole book using Google docs or voice typing on google docs on your phone using the free google docs app. You can use canva mobile app to create your cover image. You can access the KDP website from mobile to upload it all too. However, I'd strongly suggest borrowing a friend's laptop, using a computer at your local library or community centre as it is much easier on a laptop or computer.

So basically you would write 2 pages for each tip? And there’s 50 tips?
I want my book to be about parenting and how to be a good parent. Does it matter how many tips I put?
As an example, you could write 2 pages per tip.
And you could write 50 tips.
That's just to give you some context if a blank page completely bamboozles you.
There are NO rules to books, only the authors creative freedom. You can write as much as you like, or as little as you like. Some books are only 20 pages long and some books are thousands of pages long. it is entirely up to you how long it is, how many tips you include and how many pages you take up writing your answer to that tip or question. No rules here, just suggestions and ideas. 😊

It depends on how much marketing you do.
If you market, you make money, if you don't market you won't make money.
If you have an audience its easier to sell than if you don't.
There's no standard x = y on here in regards to x books = $x; other than more marketing means more sales.

Do they check for plagiarism ?
It is your responsibility as the author to publish original content and you are liable if it is not original or plr licensed material. Amazon will shut down any account that is found to breach copyright law.

Haha, then be VERY VERY suspicious, because I'm fast at most things! 🤣 I'd LOVE to know the story with you though, how fast speech means suspicious for you? That's very interesting!
@@SarahCordinerEDUbecause when people talk calmy and slow, you can analyze what they're saying and there's a sense of confidence and truthfulness.
I find fast talkers less trustworthy.
@@pdworld3421 interesting. I'm the opposite. I find slow speech extremely frustrating and usually speed up the play back speed on all videos and audio's I watch. I find people who speak slowly are unsure of what they are saying, don't know their topic well and lack confidence in themselves. But I certainly don't associate speed of speech with whether somebody is a trust worthy person or not. Isn't it fascinating how we all interpret the world differently!
So basically you are not an expert about leadership, but you teach people about it. This is so bad. You can ruin someones life with giving them wrong advice. And u give wrong advice because you dont have experience.
I think you are misunderstood. This was a DEMONSTRATION, where I was using leadership as an EXAMPLE, to show the PROCESS of writing and publishing a book.
But for the record, I am a QUALIFIED leadership trainer and have many years of leadership experience; including being the most senior leader of a university campus.

Also teaching people to write like this is so bad. It causes the inflation of knowledge. It takes a spotlight from a valuable content that is based on real experience and it actually brings results. This really is the matter of integrity and how ethical someone is. I wish people would not be doing damage like this to the book market and knowledge.
