Just excellent! Was vaguely aware of the repost one-to-all, yet the energy you exude in this piece brings the awareness to the forefront and feels more can-do than ever before! Thank you.
Thanks for a value packed vid! I work full time and publish on the side and I found this super motivating! I’m clueless on social media and this was packed with some great tips.
Caroline, I am so impressed by your videos because they always have provable, easily accessed methods for making our journey as "book creators" better and more profitable. This video was excellent and I truly learned a lot. Like you said, it is tough to maintain several of the SM platforms at once and that is where I failed, lol. I have IG and just recreated a FB page for my label and even that was tough. The point is, everything you have mentioned is very viable for all of us, we just have to make the decision, commit to it and take the first step. As always, thank you so very much for you generosity of time and knowledge. I'm off to explore Tik Tok after watching your Tik Tok video of course! 😉👍❣
I have 2 hrs available to do whatever daily. In that 2 hrs, I can work on a piece of graphic art for POD, LCB, etc., OR I can work on assembling a video / marketing piece. It's difficult to sort out the priority from full-time folks who work 12 hrs / day on their biz. You put more work into your biz in 1 day that I have available in a full week.
@@Creates_sparkle Define what's "worth" it. At the time, I was trying to see if KDP could be a form of passive income for me. 90% of success on Amazon comes from marketing which entails building name recognition elsewhere to drive traffic there. For example, starting a YT channel that gets popular and makes people interested in what you have to offer and buying in support or or out of curiosity. If I was just trying to make LCBs for the sheer joy of making them, then it'd be worth it even if I had no sales. On a $/hr basis, it wasn't since I have no name recognition anywhere. I've since moved on to making my own video game in Godot and just started a Substack explaining the basic concepts behind popular game genres.
Hi Caroline, thanks for all the great tips for freebie marketing. I have been thinking about how to make the bridge from kdp to pinterest. I have no problem hawking my Etsy shop on Pinterest, and never thought about making my coloring or puzzle books into digital printables...(fighting the urge to do an Etsy printables shop). I know YT is not for me, so I'll just stick to Pinterest and IG.
Great video ! One question with Pinterest , what can we write in the description when creating a pin and do we create a pin for every book? Also where can we put our link to our amazone page
I have lost my love of Facebook. Too easy to get kicked out for being overcommercal . I am going to finally get my feet wet with videos on RUclips shorts, tiktok and Instagram . And I love pinterest.
great info as usual, thanks so much. The marketing side is overwhelming but doable. Would love you to go more in depth on these suggestions especially Pinterest. Would also love a tutorial on actually making a slideshow type video (or at least one I don't have to film myself in) step by step preferably using canva . I'm about to start a youtube channel for my niche but have been putting it off coz I don't know how lol.
facebook been wack lately for sure! I got 400 million shares 2016-2017 and they just told me November 2023 and they have me starting over with monetization now its available. The disrespect is real! Sister will help me with an information. I work in Amazon KDP. Can I market my book on the marketplace? Creates an Amazon Associate account. Will there be any problem in the account? It would help me a lot if you let me know.
An obvious way to get traffic is to use the Amazon author page which even now is not always used. Plus list building isn't free but it sure can be effective.
Caroline, thanks so much for this insightful video! QUESTION: For the 7 keyword slots in KDP, do I have to put a comma in btw each keyword or no commas? Example, Slot one - do I say "cat lady cat mama I love cats" OR do I put "cat lady, cat mama, I love cats?"
I’m very disappointed you got involved with these guys and their funnel business scam. I spent $250 for a garbage KDP puzzle program that is so poorly made. I love watching your RUclips channel but I am concidering unsubscribing.
Do I think it's a good idea to build an audience and customer base on social media platforms? Yes, I do. Every account starts at 0, even the one with 15 mil likes. You have to start somewhere.
@@MyFreedomEmpire I'm sure social media can help build an audience. However, when I see the website of creators and then visit their social media and blogs and see zero engagement, it has a detrimental impact on how they are perceived. Showing a writer with fifteen million impressions isn't a good example of how new authors should go about things. It's an example of how already established creators go about things. The truth about social media is that the tech companies have made it difficult for anyone to get viral growth, or even if they didn't do that on purpose and it just happened because of the vast number of people competing for eyeballs, it's the same effect. People wanting to use social media need some launch event such as controversy, celeb recommendation or existing success. Just creating a FB, Insta, Tik-Tok, YT profile and loading content about work usually results in a year or two of work doing so with tens or at the most hundreds of views. I think social media is very useful to established creators as it amplifies their existing success even further. It doesn't seem to help unknown creators get that success though. That's the reason for my, admittedly snarky comment which I could have phrased in a way that was more appreciative of your effort to help creators. I would like to see examples of how unknown creators have used social media with zero following and shown how doing so is possible to grow. I think we suffer from exposure to false positives where the very rare examples of it working for people creates the illusion that anyone can just create social media for their work and it help spread the word. What we don't see is the tens of thousands who put massive amounts of work into the same and get no result. Not trying to black pill here but I think it's important to look at both possibilities and showing an example of someone that already has fifteen million engagements creates a distorted outlook.
Just excellent! Was vaguely aware of the repost one-to-all, yet the energy you exude in this piece brings the awareness to the forefront and feels more can-do than ever before! Thank you.
Best thing I found out , sharing your book work, your writings to your own audience, people who genuinely support your work.. they will definitely buy
Incredible tips! I am going to watch again to make nites. Lots of ideas coming now. Thank you

Oh thankyou so much. I loved this very valuable video. You make it sound so simple for this old gal.

Caroline, thank you for all of the good information you provide. I will start putting some of it to good use.
I’ve learned soooooo much valuable information in this video. Thank you for sharing. 😊🍃

I've been trying to plug my coloring books on Facebook groups but it's slow going. I've been thinking of setting up my own group.

Very good overall thank!
Thanks 😊 Excellent! Two high content, and one content
Great content, thanks!
Excelente video!!! Thank you for all the information provided.
Great information and, yes, I'd love to see more in-depth treatment of platforms. Thank you!
Do you have a video on the best paid adds/ad platforms for driving traffic to your books on Amazon?
Fabulous info, thank you so much. The Pinterest part - 👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You are sooooooooo cool. Thanks, Caroline! (here CB, from Argentina)
Thank you & I subscribed!!
Hey sis... where do we get our Amazon book link to promote it... ? A little confused...
This was helpful, thank you!
Another interesting 🤔 helpful educational video thanks Caroline 😊 💐
Sister will help me with an information. I work in Amazon KDP. Can I market my book on the marketplace? Creates an Amazon Associate account. Will there be any problem in the account? It would help me a lot if you let me know.
If I release my book through KDP, can I do a live-stream reading of the book on social media to help promote it?
Yes you can 😊
Super useful. Thanks xx

I thank you for your help.
Does a separate account other than your personal account need to be set up for you to advertise your journals?
Great as always 👍😊

did you find out the answer to this question please
then they close your account for redirect traffic to your amazon no?

What if you dont want to do any of these because it makes you uncomfortable.

what is the kdp puzzle program you are referring to? please help ty
had to slow down the audio, the speech was to fast for me.
So your advice to new self published authors to get publicity for their book is 'be a Tik-Toker who has 15 million likes'?
