Well you have to hand it to Pnina. She found her target market, and is taking it for all its worth. Tasteless and overpriced is exactly what these women want. The tasteful and subtle brides, who stay within a modest budget don’t usually get showcased in these programs. The show's producers are looking for the drama, and conflict.
a lot of pnina's dresses are gorgeous, they just tend to have a lot of drama which is what plenty of people look for in a wedding gown. the dresses they pull from pnina's collection on the show say more about the brides than the designer. she has plenty of romantic gowns that are worth the price tag, these just.... aren't.
What a selfish bride. She didn't even blink at the 3000 dollar price point ABOVE budget. Why doesn't she pay the difference herself? VERY unprofessional of the consultant to ignore the budget in such a way.
Notice how the other dresses she tried are COMPLETELY different from what she wanted. They could’ve shown her dresses that was similar to the first one that were actually in budget, but they just wanted the money. That saleswoman and Randy were so wrong for that

I agree with you but this is the one time I actually don't feel bad for the bride for them picking a dress way over budget; she's such an entitled over-indulged princess.
I used to want a dress from here. Until I found a dress shop that has so many beautiful dresses with rhinestone, sequins, anything you want for literally a fourth of the price of these expensive dresses. I got my dress for $1800. And it was everything!
I wouldn’t have put my mother in that situation. 10k is incredibly generous and what her mother could afford. She pushed for the expensive dress, without offering to pay the extra herself, then forgot to say a huge thank you. 🤯
First bride: you want something over an excessive budget, cough up the extra money yourself! Randy and company: you present something over budget, you need to be prepared to to discount!
In order to get the new episodes, we have to buy them, and they're not worth the money. And you're right, ths is an old episode, I believe from 2010, if I remember correctly. Just look at how young Randy is.
Why is there such an emphasis upon wearing an overpriced wedding dress for one day when the bride and groom cannot afford it? Respect the family's and or friend's budget and consider their obligations/circumstances. Remember the giver might unconsciously feel obligated: They throw the price of the gown in the couples' face throughout the marriage and especially beyond. They feel entitled to the wedding and or wedding dress conforming to their wishes. When my sister married, she rented her designer gown plus the ball gown for the MOH (including alterations) and returned it along with the groom's tux. They spent greater sums of money on purchasing homes, cars and travel.
This consultant made a MAJOR mistake (which I thought was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional) when she chose to completely disrespect and ignore Mom's budget of $10,000 and she put the bride in her "dream dress".... a dress that was $3000 OVER Mom's very generous $10,000 budget...and she has the bride come out in THAT dress as the VERY FIRST dress to show the family, so OF COURSE the bride fell in love with that dress because the higher price allows for higher quality in the fabric and detailing of the dress. So naturally, anything cheaper is going to be a major disappointment for the bride, because (as we saw happen) the bride fell in love with the first dress (which DID look stunning on her) and wasn't happy in any of the other dresses because they couldn't compare to that first dress, being of lesser quality. And now, she and the consultant are going to try and leech another $3000 out of the Mom. I think if the bride wants to go over budget, she should foot the extra cost herself....ESPECIALLY if its that much over budget. There is a difference between going a couple hundred dollars over and THREE THOUSAND dollars over. Thankfully for her, Mom was willing to give her daughter her perfect dream dress, but a LOT of times, I've seen the bride leave brokenhearted and empty-handed, because Mom can't pay for the dress. And I am SHOCKED that Randy wasn't more respectful of Mom's budget and encouraged the bride to go for the more expensive dress. It was a strategic manipulation on the consultant's part. She recognized this family as one of those who can invest 10 grand in a dress, so she put that dress first, hoping to impress the bride so she would get a more expensive dress sold (and for her, a much better commission, I'm sure) and it worked this time.
Omg I hope the husband to be is patient, she bride is high maintenance! Unfortunately even at her age is still behaving like a spoilt brat and totally disrespected the budget her mother set, didn't help that the staff didn't comply as well
I love the dress. It is absolutely perfect for her personality. But I hate how the consultants don't respect the budget. $3k over? Are they mental? They should not have even shown her the dress.
I hate it how everybody (including Randy in a way) pushed the mother to spend over her budget! So unconsiderate of a daughter! At first I thought the mom of the bride in the fitting room was Diane's sister: they look so much alike!
She says that she likes to dress up in expensive jewelry, designer gowns, etc..."It's what I love." Well most of us love that too but apparently can't afford to indulge ourselves in that "hobby." She acts like it is her hobby so she should get to do it just as someone else loves to garden or read books. What a spoiled piece of work!
This is a very old episode. Gok may not even have been in a bridal salon then. And the bride and her mom wanted to show off their wealth, so I doubt a £2000 dress would cut it. IDK why you think that Gok would have anything that she would want.

@@almohvn33 Lol. My sort of chum!
The assistant is gleefully counting her massive commission on this one. 💰💰💰💰
Especially with the “if we put you back in it your mom will cave”
If the bride doesn't like it or the mom decides that it is over the amount she will spend, then Ellie will get $0 commission. The first priority is to please the bride. And the bride said there was no budget, so apparently she thinks she can get her father to pay for it.
No. The bride is spoiled. Daddy has a Lamborghini. She doesn't care what mom says. The consultants are very careful to stay in budget knowing that if it goes out that there is a problem.
Even though it was incredibly awkward she did manage to squeeze in the Lamborghini so we'd all know about it. LOL
Lmao exactly! Like I picked him up in my dads F-150. 😆😂😂
The "lambo". Sheesh.
The mom visibly squirmed in her seat over an extra $3k. That lambo was leased, & they’re financed rich. Nothing to be envious of.
Wow, she’s a piece of work. A surgeon’s work, a colourist’s work, a hairdresser’s work, an aesthetician’s work, a makeup artist’s work. Did she really have to bring up daddy’s Lambo in the description of her fiancé? Blech.
See how her face literally dropped when she heard the 2nd dress was only $7k? 😅 If it'd cost more than the 1st dress no doubt it would've been the dress she's been dreaming of all her life. Ugh. I Love Randy (and I'd take his gowns over Pnina Tornai every time) but I prefer watching Atlanta, fewer spoilt insipid princesses, and more real brides with real budgets. 🤷
Agreed. I felt sorry for her mother - $3-5,000 OVER BUDGET! "I need all the bling". Pathetic.
Exactly, hideous all round
@@emmadsq I made the same comment! They should not have shown first dress at all - and then shown every $8,000 ish dress and told her they were $20,000. AND taken the mother aside to warn her. She was going for the most expensive dress whatever it looked like.
However, I think the parents deserve a $5,000 fine for raising a brand name, cost obsessed vacuous airhead.

@@georgielancaster1356 I mean, the money does go to pay someone's wages. What country they're in, I don't know. But I'd rather pay wages than handouts.
And here we are with another episode of "Say yes to an overpriced yet classless Pinina Tornai's dress".
There's definitely a "type" that likes these kinds of dresses. She could be a lovely young woman, but the level of fake and showy is distasteful. I did like the colour of the dress, but all of that gaudy bling was yucky.
Haha best comment ever
Well you have to hand it to Pnina. She found her target market, and is taking it for all its worth. Tasteless and overpriced is exactly what these women want. The tasteful and subtle brides, who stay within a modest budget don’t usually get showcased in these programs. The show's producers are looking for the drama, and conflict.
Pinina dresses are ridiculous. This dress looked silly on the bride.
a lot of pnina's dresses are gorgeous, they just tend to have a lot of drama which is what plenty of people look for in a wedding gown. the dresses they pull from pnina's collection on the show say more about the brides than the designer. she has plenty of romantic gowns that are worth the price tag, these just.... aren't.
I've seen this particular Pnina gown so much that I'm surprised brides are still going for it. I swear it's the #1 selling gown at Kleinfelds!
Realize that this is an old video. New collections come in every year.
What a selfish bride. She didn't even blink at the 3000 dollar price point ABOVE budget. Why doesn't she pay the difference herself? VERY unprofessional of the consultant to ignore the budget in such a way.
Bride: Do you love it?!
Sister: Totally you!
That’s a tactful sister right there. She obviously didn’t like it, but she found a way to be supportive.
Notice how the other dresses she tried are COMPLETELY different from what she wanted. They could’ve shown her dresses that was similar to the first one that were actually in budget, but they just wanted the money. That saleswoman and Randy were so wrong for that
They also don't show you all the dresses she tries on - only the ones that make for good tv.
Bride wanted Pnina dresses and they showed her the only 2 ball gowns that are cheaper than this one.
i'm really shocked at Randy, he is usually more respectful of budget. I think he knew the family was loaded and would pay the difference regardless.
Jesus, 10k is a more than generous budget. There is absolutely no reason that they needed to show her ANYTHING over that price point.
So annoying that they ask for budget and the first dress they pull is $3K over! Puts Mom in a most uncomfortable position. c'mon!
I hope the groom makes a good salary, I think this bride is spoiled badly and wants to get whatever she wants regardless of how it affects a budget.
The first bride was crazy concerned about her wants, totally disregarding the mom's budget. Beautiful lady, but entitled. And that gown 🙄. Why on earth was it so expensive.
Not beautiful at all.. spolied.. and.. entitled.. and... divorced in 2 years.
My first reaction to the $13.3k dress was I wonder how many uninsured kids could get a dental exam, preventative healthcare, or fed a meal for that. Granted I am a nurse but the excess of that dress and her lack of consideration was something I simply cannot identify with. Good luck hubby!
If you look at her face, she's smiling until the consultant says it's only 7k and that's when her face changes. I feel like she wants a more expensive dress because the more expensive it is, the better she feels.

Mom's a major shopaholic too..there's a full episode of their wedding n mom ordered some expensive shoe brand in different sizes n she kept them all!
The price tag is def swaying her to the first dress. You can tell she’s about brand, cost and making a statement. This was evident from the first few words out of her mouth raving on about picking her fiancé up in a Lamborghini. She could have just said I picked him up in my dads car but no we had the drop the fact that it was a Lamborghini. Love is not about a price tag sweetheart. When your older you’ll learn that.

That dress looks like it should be on a Las Vegas show girl!! There were thousands of other gowns available with a lot of bling that would have been more tasteful, and within BUDGET!
The mom is clearly not a fan of the dress but supports her daughter in a loving way. 💜
Hope, she had a side talk with the sales person who ignored the budget, though.
And now her other 2 daughters are going to expect her to pay at least 13,000 for their dresses too. She was kinda rude in going over the budge her mother set. I could see the fear in her moms eyes at that price.

How can someone pay 13,000 for a dress that is one of the top selling dresses of Kleinfield? It is not a unique designer model, it is at this point a mass selling product that many brides have worn.
Shame on Kleinfield’s. They showed her a dress over $ 3,000 over her budget. Ridiculous.
$ 13,000 would make a great down payment on a house. To spend it on a dress you wear once is stupid.

Everyone wants to wear the dress of their dreams, but no one wants to save for it.
Wtf would she put her in a gown that $13,000 when the mom said the budget is between $8,000-10,000? She's bogus as hell for that
This bride needs to show some respect for her mother.
Budget is from 8 to 10,000.... Shows a dress that's 13,000.... 🤔🤔🤔

I love the dress. It is absolutely perfect for her personality. But I hate how the consultants don't respect the budget. $3k over? Are they mental? They should not have even shown her the dress.
I agree and that price does not include any alterations, the veil or shoes.
Rule number 1, never put a bride in a dress over budget, 2, the bride ought to pay the difference.
I hate it how everybody (including Randy in a way) pushed the mother to spend over her budget! So unconsiderate of a daughter! At first I thought the mom of the bride in the fitting room was Diane's sister: they look so much alike!

I’ve noticed this with Kleinfeld. All of the consultants show dresses that are right at the maximum budget, or higher. Which in my opinion is not right.
