- After a six month clean-up, the Philippines reopened its doors to its holiday island Boracay on Friday and promised sustainable tourism and a greener environment. The closure since April came after its president Rodrigo Duterte described the island a “cesspool” after seeing a video of dirty water being piped out to sea.

Steam Punkster No offense to anyone kay tig simba ko almost every sunday. Kita mga tao kinanglan guidance and discipline but there is always a time and place for everything. And boracay is def not the place for that. Didto ko when i was younger and had so much fun meeting new people, even a couple of celebrities that also wanted to do the same. Was planning to go when my son becomes a teen para he can also experience the same. But w these new rules?, Neva! Ibiza is another option but mahal kaau y adto spain. Our country is def the best when you average everything out. But w these new rules sa boracay, it’s automatically dead to me and a lot of others i bet as well. My family has never been in politics and i don’t have plans to as well but observing all these happenings so to speak i’m very inclined to do the unthinkable and maybe run to help our president and country to become the best that we can be. Boracay, wlay inom? Am i hearing things right? This is going to be like prohibition in the U.S. in the early 1920’s-30’s.

The limits will most certainly affect the income of the island. But I think its a necessary sacrifice to preserve the natural beauty of the island. Its been regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches for good reason, we should preserve that.

On Christmas season was reopening in Boracay and mission accomplished was done to President Duterte were back the experience. Happy Holidays on this island.
Sana kahit yun few water activities ibalik yan din kc binabalikbalikan ng ibang tourist. Yung beach parties okay lng yun mawala mga lasenggero lng umaangal hindi mawala yun.
im not sold sa no more beach parties fire dancers massages vendors.....etc. sounds BORING...
dapat may lugar na ganyan for more attractions. lets say sa station 3 lang allowed or isang parte ng island.

Surigao del Sur, with Enchanted River, Tinuy An waterfalls, Britannia Islets and much else is WAAAAAY better than Boracay, and much cheaper, and MUCH cleaner...also real friendly people, not the fake plastic ones...
