It says "Original MIDI" here but on your website it's listed under the Jenesis soundtrack. Well no matter where it belongs it's a catchy and addictive song, I love it. A certified classic
The strong beats, fast pace just make it so satisfying to listen. Especially from 3:19 till the end is incredible.
You and Stuart did yet another masterpiece, perfect for the maps it was used in Jenesis and Valiant!
3:19 I shown this to my son, now he is my dad. Its that epic.
This is one of the best DOOM songs ever put into a megaWAD. It and its placement are absolutely amazing. Fantastic work
Insane song to put into Valiant, it gave Crush Depth so much energy despite the size!
I'm here to welcome the decino gang. Well, those that liked the valiant music so much 👋
Very nice!
Honestly, Your Work On Psychophobia, Is One Of The Best. If Not, THE Best. The Title Track, Is One Of My Favourites.
@@ZatohRondohoon3227 His work on Ashes tops that. No cap.
At 3:30 it took me 4 months to realize there is another bassline. It makes it even more epic than it already is, and that's saying a lot.
Pro tip: If one want to enjoy this marvel to the fullest, you should check Valiant.
And Jenesis.
@@DinnerForkTongue level 18 crush depth on valiant is too much it's just too goddamn much
@@mdmjr2468 I'd argue it's the perfect amount, actually.
cool stuff man
my favorite song from Valiant ! Thank you for this masterpiece !
Now listen to it in Jenesis. C:
One of the best!
Tell me, Jimmy, did you guys intend to make this sound like the perfect race theme?
It was largely intended to sound like early 10's DnB because I was obsessed with that music at the time. The collab just sort of happened I think, I don't think there was ever a particular end goal for it beyond "have a full song written".
@@JamesPaddockMusic beautiful
@@JamesPaddockMusic the music you make it reminds me of 80s cartoons and movies 👍
@@JamesPaddockMusic doom fan huh?
Crash bandicoot Boss fight be like :
i made a simple game on scratch, is it okay if i used this epic midi?
If not a commercial venture, then sure!
@@JamesPaddockMusic just me and my friends play it
Did you come up with this purely in midi form? I'm actually trying to learn the solos on guitar right now so I'm kind of curious if part of it is even possible haha. (2:35 at the very tail end of the 2nd solo).
Yeah I don't play guitar haha. All my contributions to this track were programmed in. Dunno about stewboy's melodies but probably the same?
Okay, this might sound dumb, but how exactly do you collab a song composition?
There's a few different ways about it, generally speaking, but in the case of this song, Stu and I simply threw the piece back and forth to each other, adding to it and building it up section by section. I think it was the first MIDI collab I wound up doing with another person and it definitely sparked interest in me to do more :)
1:17-1:50 and 2:38-2:59 tell me those parts dont sound like some NES game boss battle theme with those "drops" :D
