Just saw this band open for Converge last night in North Carolina. I was very impressed by Stefanie's vocals and drumming. First time I heard these guys and it won't be the last!
On top of that she's playing powerfull drum parts wich demands lots of energy. Holding such notes while hitting hard is an unbelievable thing, she must have a third lung hidden somewhere hahaha
Stijns style isn’t my typical vibe I’d meld with, but something about his originality and his ability to make a simple riff sound massive has truly inspired me. It takes alot for me to favorite a guitarist. But he’s quickly become one of my favorites. And learning his riffs has opened doors I’ve been struggling to unlock. There’s a lot of insanely talented guitarist today. But unique originality trumps any technical talent. Talent can be learned. But what stijn has is gifted by something within. That’s what makes an amazing guitarist. That’s why he’s become a personal favorite. Riffs that will resonate 🙏🏽 they’re hard to come by in today’s flooded scene. This band is one of a kind. I crave the next show. I’ll be front and center to take it all in

whoa...This is far better than a band I'd never heard of has any right to be...Emotive, heavy and very distinct. Why aren't they much, MUCH bigger?? Excellent discovery for sure and quite beautiful vocals.
Live shows in 2024 is something I will greatly look forward to. This summer and for a little while after could get a little...bumpy but it won't last forever. Big positive changes coming sooner rather than later
The push and pull of this track specifically is just spectacular. The fill and feel at 1:37 are just my favorite - so simple yet so good. Rudest bass tone in the biz.
Brutus has been my go-to band for the past 3 years. I first saw them at a music festival in Switzerland and fell in love with their music. I listen to them literally every day; when I leave the house, on my way to the train station, when I do art, when I drive my old volvo (CD player of course), when I need energy, when I'm angry, whan I'm happy… like it matches my everyday life and I think your music is beautiful, intense and just SO GOOOOD!!
It's the exact same for me. Encountered Brutus in January 2022 and since then I have barely listened to anything else. Brutus daily and no sign of overuse, quite the contrary...... For me it's the best band in the world and my greatest musical love yet
I'm running out of superlatives to describe this band. The musicianship is sublime and all of the sounds are perfectly dialed in. And 'Nest' was excellent but the jump in songwriting on this album is striking.
