- 05-04-2024 Here footage of this Beautiful Twin Engine Bell 230 Helicopter, a newer variant of the famous Airwolf Bell 222 from the TV Series.
Airwolf is an American action military drama television series. It centers on a high-technology Attack helicopter, code-named Airwolf, and its crew. They undertake various exotic missions, many involving espionage, with a Cold War theme. It was created by Donald P. Bellisario and was produced over four seasons, running from January 22, 1984, until August 7, 1987.
My footage shows the Bell 230 during Engine Start & Departing the El Monte / San Gabriel Valley Airport.
The Bell 230 is a development of the model 222 with its Lycoming engines replaced by two Allison 250 turboshafts, plus other refinements including optional skid or wheel undercarriage. The prototype ( a converted 222 ) first flew on August 12, 1991. Production deliveries began in March 1992 and after 38 having been built by 1995 it was replaced by the Bell 430

The 222s with skids allways look a bit like someone put their exhibition airwolf model on a display-stand to me.. nice video!
