It would really help if you did not use the term "headset" when you mean "headphones". A headset has it's own mic and, as you explained, this will have 3 black insulation rings on the 3.5mm jack. The kit you recommend has no adapter which will convert a HEADSET to bluetooth so that it sends (from headset mic) and receives (to headset earpieces/phones). Otherwise it covers a lot of ground well!

Okay so I tried a few stores near me to find an auxiliary cable with the three black lines as he described in the video. But I couldn’t find one. So I bought a “standard” one with two black lines and it worked just fine. I have the Steel series Arctis 9X
Good stuff, thanks. Question though: I have an Xbox Series X AND a PS5 and it is super annoying that none of the major manufacturers work easily with both. Currently I am using an Arctis 7p+ and I have plugged it into my Xbox controller. Problem is the volume is way too low even with a boos adapter. Thinking about getting the Nova Pro for Xbox because Arctis claims you can easily use it with PS5 though they don't want to advertise that. But its very expensive.
Any other ideas? I just want one headset to rule them all WITHOUT breaking the bank, lol!
The official Xbox wireless headset connects natively to the series x and if you have a smart tv you can connect the headset to your tv to hear the ps5 through the headset so all you would have to do is switch hdmi's to hear the ps5, its 100$ and can connect to 2 devices (Xbox and some other bluetooth device) at once. No noticeable audio lag, the sound quality is amazing and the mic is pretty good too, so for example you could use discord on your Xbox while playing your ps5.

So would a bluetooth adapter be good for headsets/wireless earbuds that has Bluetooth capability, but cant connect to the ps5? Also is a bluetooth adapter the same thing as a usb dongle that you would usually get for certain headsets to connect to the ps5 with?

not every USB microphone or USB headset is compatible with PS5. Sony has opted to NOT support USB UAC2 which is what modern DACs and USB mic use. It is only supporting USB UAC1 which is a 2011 standard. I have a really nice Presonus Revelator Dynamic mic with onboard DSP and it won't work with PS5.

Auxillary cable is the worst. I hv my turtlebeach w usb roccat into ps5. W controller muted, my headset mic stays muted. I just want to rip that mic out of the controller.

Built-in mic wont work with PS. It uses controller mic. Your friends will hear you pressing buttons

It uses it's own mic. This is a 'receive only' not a transmitter. My solution was to buy a cable which has a 3.5mm female for the headset (mic AND headphones), a USB-C female so that I can simultaneously charge and a USB-C male which fits into my Pixel.
