Hah! She's a smart lady. I am generally nauseated by charming men who think they're gods gift to everyone... ppl like this always have something to hide. If youre lucky its just that they know they are incredibly uninteresting, self centered, never satisfied, or lack a strong moral center. But in uglier instances theyre trying to deflect from their complete lack of empathy, or desire to ever do a single thing unless it pays off for them.
Charming ppl do that bc they DONT want you to see the real them.
I always have been drawn to dudes that are kind, tho still edgy & assertive, either slightly awkward or an outsider or different somehow, and of course intelligent. I admire ppl who know who they are, will stand up & go against the crowd, especially about matters of character. I spent yrs single, & I terminated a handful of relationships between 6 months& 1 year of dating, even with guys I really liked, after discovering a serious moral failing that I couldn't unsee, nor tolerate in a life partner, rather than delay the inevitable.

I have no doubt Chris is guilty, but I heard an interview with his defense attorneys and they mentioned a disturbing point: there is no independent verification that the cadaver dog actually hit on anything in his the apartment or car. That was taken as iron-clad evidence based on the word of one officer interpreting the behavior of her dog. Seems like trained police dog searches should be recorded that the the purported "hits" can be reviewed and confirmed or refuted by independent experts with no connection to, say, the da who is prosecuting the case.

It takes years to train a dog like that (I’m a professional dog trainer) and hitting on something cannot be a mistake. If the dog signals, it’s a hit. The noise and behavior of the dog is not subtle. If the dog hits they let everyone in earshot know. And they get super excited.
I agree that body cam footage should be on every cop everywhere every moment they’re doing police work, but if we rule out malice, there is no possibility for a mistake with a certified cadaver dog. It is a very specific odor that can’t be replicated by anything else except what it is. And several independent people certify a dog. They go to constant training and certifications, etc. so the dog and handler are very competent.
I train dogs to alert to low blood sugar. Their sense of smell is astounding. Currently dogs are being trained to sniff cancer on hospital patients.
Some scents are easier to confuse but a dead human being is really quite a specific collection of smells that cannot be replicated by any other dead animal.
That said- malice is always a concern! If only we could teach dogs to alert to psychopaths.
I actually think they can detect some dangerous people, but since we don’t know how some dogs seem to know when a person is a garbage person we can’t actually train them to replicate it on command.
Wouldn’t that be so cool, though? 😂 I’ve known several dogs that always knew before I did that a particular person was dangerous. My personal theory is that it’s in subtle body language. But you never know-maybe evil has a smell? 😂
And then of course there are less sensitive dogs that would make friends with a serial killer
      😂

There is a lot about Kelly they didn't discuss in the special (her drug use and they only alluded to the problem with the online dating sites she was on). It is pretty clear he killed her based on the evidence that was found but they couldn't really link it to arrest - they could only really speculate what they thought was pretty sure happened. They were having a hard time figuring out how he got her body out of the apartment. They had to "settle" for the child stuff. I am glad they finally did charge him because it didn't happen by the time of the special.

Also, Kelly graduated from Stevenson high school in 2005, not 2004.

Kelly's first mistake was involving herself with a guy who could care less about her. "Friends with benefits" isn't a benefit at all. It's a fools game! Kelly's death could have been accidental but I wouldn't rule out a deliberate homicide. Maybe Kelly threatened to tell Zocco's GF about the two of them. Or maybe she told Zocco she was pregnant in an effort to entrap him. Or maybe his sadistic violent tendencies got out of control that night, but one thing is for certain, he did it.

@@simonw1313 Or she didn't want to accept it. Sometimes people only hear what they want to hear. One of my distant friends is like that. She's quick to jump into a relationship that she should have avoided. Sometimes guys will be honest and tell her upfront that they aren't looking for anything serious. But she doesn't listen and jumps in head first thinking that she will change his mind. She will be the one! Then when things don't work out she looks back in retrospect and says, "He did tell me up front he wasn't looking for a relationship." Maybe Kelly was like that. I tried to warn my friend so many times. She even got mixed up with an online scammer. She's pretty but love always seems to allude her. I think it's because she doesn't take things slow and get to know the person to see if he's even someone she would be seriously interested in, or long enough for him to become attached to her. She's like a bull in a china shop when it comes to love.

I don't understand how women firstly date (or are attracted to) these types of monsters and secondly comply with the sadist's requests for kinky or high risk sex. Based on the picture you showed us, he was NOT a good looking guy. Also, unless you are desperate for a man, usually you can tell which men are full of BS or "superficial charm." I guess I don't know what behavior he exhibited that constituted "charm" but I usually have a red flag going off in my head when people act too charming. I think I can spot liars faster than the average person, but I don't know maybe not. I don't know if I've ever met a maniac or psychopathic man before, but at least in my years I haven't met any man who was into weird or high risk sex. Thank goodness. Keyword: *Evaluate Most like and will stay superficial because no one can truly see (maybe has no interest in seeing) their good and poor qualities alike and still adoring and accepting every inch of who they are. Which is why charm has to come into play. Most would rather make a mockery of that which/those who aren't superficial, only to try to undo what they've irresponsibly done, once time fast forwards and they realize how they've devalued a necessity. I think you've summed it up here. Some people find it difficult to evaluate the more profound qualities of one's personality because superficial is what they've accepted and "normalized". Normal and genuine they've chosen to rebuke......which is fine. As we all have the power of choice.

      Compliment on appearance
      Body
      Compliment on appearance

      Compliment on appearance
      Body
      Joke
      Crass
      Proposition
      Physical contact
It takes the fun out of getting to know someone, but then, that's what you are asking for, right?.... no you just want something to broadly discriminate against, a result from a test. Ok, try this, is he male? If yes, let him meet someone looking for fun and you keep looking for red flags, cuz that's not fun and you are going to seem psycho if you test someone before you meet them and consider circumstances.
Or just ask them, guys would happily tell you and not hold it against you. Hell, you probably would be faaaaar more desirable than any crazy woman testing guys.
