They have to keep people in detention centers because there’s so many people trying to cross and apply for asylum at the border, they have to hold everyone there to process each one. If these people don’t want to live in detention centers then they shouldn’t cross illegally, shouldn’t come to the border for asylum, or apply for asylum electronically or by mail, not at the border.

Children shouldn't be seperated from their parents, they should at least get clean water, food, soap, toothbrushes and so on. We could debate all day wether migrants leaving their country because of economic reasons deserve asylum but if you can defend detainment centers where literal babies are seperated from their parents and left to rot you should really reconsider your opinions. I honestly can't believe that this has become a partisan issue.
