Honestly, they really nailed the feeling of the fights in the show, since so many of them felt like the main characters getting stunlocked in a corner by three guys at a time. Also, they did a surprisingly good job of rendering the main cast members given when the game came out. 11/10, would gabagool again

I watched some GTA lore videos from TheProfessional, and he recommended to watch the series, I've watched the first episode already, but was not really motivated to watch it again, but I picked it up again, it was amazing.
It's actually kind of refreshing to have a game realistically curb-stomp your character mercilessly when you're outnumbered three to one. Not much fun to play but a commendable effort.
Dark souls and bloodborne is the best example of doing that well, sometimes it feels like the AI really tries to overpower you and you gotta try and lure enemies into 1v1 scenarios
They should have purchased the rights to one of the GTA psp games that no one remembers, and changed all the names to Sopranos characters and it probably would have been better received.
No , it was just shovelware. That era had a ton of franchise games, early in the days of the internet, so few people would know these games were shit. So a lot of people would just see the Sopranos title and buy it because they didn't know better and they just liked the Sopranos. The game would sell just as well as if it was good than if was bad, plus these games were released in a tight time table to come out in promotion of new movies or episodes. So they didn't have much time, money and it didn't matter if the game was good or not, so these games were usually shit anyway.

I feel like dunkey had the sopranos theme song stuck in his head, but didn't know the lyrics so made it up as he went along, then realized he could make a video of it, then thought about how he could some how insert his version of the sopranos theme song into one of his videos, and thought long and hard about how he would do that. Then sat in solitude to think even harder of ways he could make a video to show his singing talent, then realized there's a sopranos video game!
"Get whacked? Heh, I remember what that's like...shit city." So when you die, a character sympathizes with your situation telling you he remembers what it's like to be killed, and relates it to a city made of shit.
That voice line from an actor who plays a character that did indeed get whacked in The Sopranos, the line makes more sense with that in mind. Although this game is still a bizarre idea, if anything a Sopranos game should be narrative focused.
It's almost been a year since this master class review came out, and thanks to that, I gotten into The Sopranos and still haven't finished it cause I don't have HBO.
