- Basically, after my engine blows up, Charles hits me and DNFs from the race causing a safety car. AI overtake me under yellow flags but not under safety car conditions. AI also doesnt pit and instead pulls me over in front of the pits..

it would be nicer to park the car in a safe spot by yourself and not the game doing it
yeah I was hoping I would be able to do it myself (its why I let off the throttle) but AI took over
I was surprised the game took over when it happened for the first time to me
or even go the garage
It would have been nice but very difficult to manage for the developers
@@smilypenguin Well, not really. They could make something like a countdown system, where we should stop the car before it reach zero otherwise the AI took over
I wish there was a system where you could choose to push on with heavily decreased performance, or some scenario where if you stop you can save the engine but if you keep going it could fail completely and ruin more parts. Its like the gearbox issue in braking point. Would add an extra layer to it
I guess. Engine faults are entirely random, in this video it was my brand new energy store going from 1% to 99% and I got extra R&D. The gearbox issue in BP can happen in game too, just not the entire race, but I'd prefer the choice to retire or risk continuing, maybe for 2022
@@naturiae This year has definitely been a step forward with details like that, glad they're listening to the fans. I'm sure in time it'll get further improved

They do that sometimes, they also have other random failures like losing your radio (idk if its a bug or not but hey), and losing some performance in a straight line
@@RizeF1X Radio loss is a bug, usually pause unpause fixes it

i would've retired on the racing line
That happend to me in my team mode, i was in a safety car in the worst 12 because a pit stop mid-safety car, in the restart Alonso and Gasly crashed provocating another safety car and there my engine blew up.

Look at the cars pitting, they’re still racing. This car would slow them down so has to pit outside.

I just finished the Canada GP for career mod and it hasn’t happened

How do you enable it in driver career? I can’t find it in career mode settings.
Settings > Driver Career > Player Faults
You need to set your race style to Expert to view it as well as the Acclaim settings

yes but it's decided at the beginning of the event. restarting the race will only change the timing in-race.

The game decides basically when it happens, you can change the frequency or the chance rates of it happening to you (its in another comment somewhere on how to do it)

It'd be nice after a safety car and you're first that you dictate when to start racing again, I thought that was going to happen until I saw the green flag and everyone flew past me whilst I'm there warming my tires up
The moment you cross the timing line and the greens are shown, racing resumes. The leader only dictates the pace in sector 3 of the safety car's inlap. If you were still warming tires when you went across the timing line, then it was a mistake on your end. That's why you normally take racing pace through the last 1-2 corners of the safety car inlap.

I believe F1 is scripted af... In my first save ferrari man retired in Baku, same happened in my 2nd save, same driver n same race track...
you should update your windows.
AI is honestly stupid... it took over control and just keeps it on the middle of the track, also if it's driving that far before stopping, why not just go into the pits at that point
