They didn't want him there because he is a big "defund the police" advocate. He's a felony-friendly, soft-on-crime mayor that refers to youthful criminals as 'teenagers making silly mistakes.' Between Brandon (hug-a-thug) Johnson , our soft-on-crime States Attorney Kim Foxx and our cashless bail signer gov. Pritzker it's no wonder why Chicago has become such a dangerous place! The family made a great decision.

The officer would definitely be a villain because normally in those cases the officer lies on the report and kills the black person because they fear their skin color and not because of any real threat. This is the case time and time again.

Well, when he was being interviewed about the killing, he didn't even call the officer by his name, so him not being welcomed at his funeral is understandable.

Chi-raq Mayor Brandon Johnson is NOT a law enforcement supporter when officers are alive. He has been quite clear about his "vision" for "reimagining" policing. Is the police department going reprimand Luis for failing to follow police procedures? Just like any retail employee confronting a shoplifter. You do not confront them but let them take what ever they want. And if the police do confront them they risk making some mother son that is a good kid, played basketball, and just happened to have a criminal record, a cop killer and destroy this bright young man's future.
