- “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” was created through the musical collaboration of composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II. The inspirational song was written for “The Sound of Music,” a 1959 Tony-Award winning Broadway musical and 1965 Academy Award-winning film, starring Julie Andrews. The theme of the song encourages people to pursue their dreams. As Mother Abbess in the original Broadway production, Patricia Neway sang “Climb Ev’ry Mountain.” This improvisation of the song is by pianist Charles Manning.
I’ve been playing piano since I was a child. I am 45 years old now. I was blessed with the gift of having autism. I had perfect pitch I could sing anything I could play anything unfortunately I’ve got significant hearing loss in my right ear and I can no longer play the way I used to. May God bless you my friend may you continue to have what you have and make sure you’re hearing is perfect because when you lose your hearing you lose the gift of music. I learned the hard way may God bless you always and forever
Slay charles
