      The fruits in kunming are humongous... Super sized pomegranate, apple, Orange, walnut, etc etc... All juicy. And super cheap ...They know how to grow things there lol

      It snowed there at least twice during my childhood there in the 70s. The winters were cold, especially when we had no indoor heat.

      ​@@joyceching6487Each winter thousands of seagulls from Siberia make the long trip of over three thousand kilometers to Kunming to spend the winter in what is known as China's Spring City. The black-headed gulls first arrived in Kunming in 1985, to everyone's surprise.

    I really like Yunnan. It’s very diverse in terms of landscape, natural scenery, weather, ethnic minorities, etc. I have been there twice and I will definitely be returning many times. When I retire, I plan to maximise my tourist visa and stay there as long as possible for each year.

    The sky in China is so incredibly blue. I just can't understand how BBC manages to apply that eerie filter to China in their coverage.

      China's land mass is 74 times the land mass of England, because it is so vast there are bound to be areas where the air is not good, especially desert areas and sand storms

      @@borneoman7729 jonah was refering to when BBC was caught using a video of a chinese blue sky and then applyinf filter to make the air and the surroundings grey and drab. BBC did this all the time but it was really highlighted when the owner of the video (Jason) raised a stink about it.

    When Queen Elizabeth II visited Kunming in 1986, she visited the Xishan Scenic Area by Dianchi Lake. She climbed to the Sanqing Pavilion on Xishan Mountain, overlooking the Dianchi Lake from there, and tasted Yunnan Pu'er tea in the Huating Temple. Besides, the Queen planted three roses in Daguan Park as a symbol of Sino-British friendship. These activities were part of her visit to Kunming.

    So many beautiful flowers and also it is very cheap. I also bought so many followers for my wife in Kunming before 20 years ago. Great memory.

    Before 1st time see aussie flower expo was delighted after 10yrs, i travel to kunming Market flowers💐 1 was amazed the variety of flowers 💐 all kinds .. tulips 🌷 is 🇨🇳 origin then Holland 🇳🇱 cultures..

    Can't believe the 18 year old bonsai only sells for around $70, including shipping cost, to me the flowerpot itself is probably worth it.

    Lovely video. My wife and I were in Kunming last December and also visited the flower market and posted flowers to a couple of relatives, at reasonable prices. We also fed a load of seagulls at Green Tree Lake in Kunming, although my wife allowed herself to be conned into buying around 70 or 80 photos, dressed in Miao ethnic dress.. A fascinating city, called the City of Eternal Spring, with comfortable weather all year round.

    Those roses will be a nice surprise for your lovely wife and then only taking one day to travel so far is incredible. The Forest lake is a beautiful area, the mountain views are spectacular, this is a packed enjoyable video 👍

    My friends in Guangdong want to visit Yunnan Province when I visit them later this year. I am not sure if a flight from Shenzhen to Kunming or a bullet train from Humen would be best. I like the bullet trains because they show the Chinese countryside but it might take too long. Has anyone been to Yunnan before?

      I already check it is only 8.5 hours to take high speed train from Guangzhou to Kun Ming the capital city of Yunnan

    Bonzai is a Japanese word, aka, 盆栽 in Kanji or Chinese characters. But Bonzai was a Chinese culture export to Japan like Chinese characters/Kanji. They are called Penjing or 盆景 in modern Chinese.

      @@ChenYc-j7l Don't worry about the data, just grow some food. You seem to think I'm attacking the Chinese people I just don't want to see them go hungry. Flowers won't feed the people. They could cut their flower production by a third an that would alleviate the problem if they would grow something consumable.
