I love both cars tbh. But for the cost to build and fix i would take a zr1. If i had the money to fully build a gtr i would do that. Because a built gtr will always shit on any muscle car on the street. And thats coming from someone who owns a decently quick domestic.

I'm a GTR and corvette fan. FBO E85 GTR is good for 650-700whp tops and weighs 200lbs more. Zr1 with pulley and cat delete is good for 750-800whp. Zr1 had aero removed too. GTR should have lost. Now if the vette had a manual trans the GTR would have kept up.

Not complaining but for a nearly 800 hp crank 6.2l low kerb weight aerodynamic ZR1 against a nearly 200 lbs heavier GTR with just around 700 hp crank and with less aerodynamic shape that GTR moves. Pretty sure that if both are same HP the GTR wud be at least as fast as the ZR1

David White ummm no. A gtr is awd it’s traction is hella good if anything not even an issue. A v8 supercharged car has more torque which helps it from a roll. From a dig a gtr has traction and is awd and launches faster and that’s when that corvette would have to catch up
5.33 seconds 173-181 mph per the dash. The ZTK aero is slowing that thing down or something’s up. My stock C6 ZR1 does that same dash in just under 4 seconds.
He doesn’t need a new tuner it’s just the ZR1 has 755hp stock and the mods he has is probably 800+ GTR has 560hp stock and as of FBO and E85 he’s at least at 700hp he just needs more mods
I was expecting ZR1 to win easily and it did. I have a C7 Z51 A8 with ECS blower and catless ARH 1 7/8 pushing mid 500's rwhp. My friend has a FBO GTR with 650 rwhp and he slowly pulls me up top but not by much.
Ummm the gtr is down like 100-150 hp compared to the vette. The gtr is for sure already tuned, you're not going FBO without a tune. A more aggressive tune won't make up the difference here lol you look silly

Buy a gtr with a broken engine, send it to ams, get the full package with the crate motor and boom you have a super car killer for around 100k+. Last time I checked the package was like 40k, so let's say you buy an auction gtr for cheap and throw in 40k for a new ams built engine and trans and boom you're set. It'll destroy 99% of cars on the street. Corvettes look super nice though. Cant wait the new z06 and zr1. All my friends have mistaken them for a Ferrari or mclaren when they drive by.

Look at the gtr boost at high rpm ... only 15psi. Get some nismo turbos on there, hold 20psi to redline and u will best this zr1. No need for built motor. You are giving up a lot to a 800hp zr1 with less weight to boot from a roll
The ZR1 won't beat it off the dig on the streets. The drag tracks are prepped, not the streets. GTR will have a huge advantage with stock street tires.
