Haha, good stuff. Yeah, the 4th to 5th became an issue after the lightweight triple disc clutch went in... after I sold the car, the new owner swapped out the clutch, and trans went back to buttery smooth!
Both great cars even though thats an early gen Zr1...thats not a C7 Zr1. As an earlier enthusiast stated. The New 911Turbo S ...or even just the Turbo will humiliate any stock vette built to date. Porsche just always launch like rockets no matter who is driving. Top end between a 2019 ZR1 and a new Turbo S...from like 80mph....and the Turbo S will be seeing tail lights almost immediately.
@@Poohdaddymagic The 2013 GT500 has a 124mph trap speed in 1/4 mile which is the same as a 505hp C6 Z06 so no, it will not "spank" a ZR1. Also the ZR1 in this video raced a Bugatti Veyron and nearly reeled him in towards the end of the 1/2 mile which means this particular ZR1 is modified and thus would destroy even 1000hp GT500s
I love Vettes, but all wheel drive with no or very little tire slippage And 60+% weight on the rear tires, plus a double clutch tranny, is pretty hard to beat. All Vettes thru C7 have some trouble of hooking up on stock tires, now a C8 is a totally different animal and when it hits in the ZR1 guise a lot of people are going to pissed off.

so is the zr1. it was purposely built to take on the nurburgring. Actually the zr1 and the turbo porsche both waxed the enzo, careera gt, gtr, mercedes slr , any supercar during the time they came out. Even the C6 z06 beat the same cars running between 3 to 6 seconds faster around the ring and the porsche and vette were around 5-10 seconds faster. The zr1 and the porsche turbo were beasts. I have both the zr1 and z06 and my friend had a turbo. Lets say we had a lot of fun. lol
Porsche is great out of the hole, but nowhere near the power to hng with a ZR1. Especially from a roll, there's zero chance of it ever winning a single roll race.
100 percent of the time the turbo s wins from a start, but not from A roll like this. I love this better, but Never Hook from a start, just melt and lose the race even though it starts catching up in the end
This is interesting..I have both these cars and have always wondered the outcome of a roll race...one of these days I'll try although the Turbo S is quite modified
Did anyone not see the Corvette took off without lining up with the Porsche? Shoulda been called "Corvette vs no one". Line them up properly for a fair race. If something was wrong with the Porsche, why was it not stated in the video? Drive of the Corvette said "Missed 5th" but never spoke of him taking off early...
Haha and you clearly don’t know the statistics behind it. The zr1 can win the race every time from a roll and doesn’t need to jump. You are just mad that the turbo s lost and can’t keep up with big power. Corvettes are quick and especially the 2009- 2013.

I’ve had both, 911 turbo has won a few and lost a few, but it’s a track car more than anything!
