- Battle of the TITANS! Zach from NUR Performance brought out his nasty 2019 Corvette ZR1 to take on some serious machines. He battles a Dodge Demon modified by Gearhead Fabrications, Trackhawk Gearhead Fab Stg 1, and Dragtimes Mclaren 720s.

It is astonishing how quickly that GTR reeled him back in! Crazy comparison for sure.
I was surprised how easily GT-R handled that much power. It was so stable no wheelspin at all! never really looked it was modified to 1600 hp!

convex you do realise that GT-R was an 09 model and that kind of modification is barely 50-100k. So that GT-R costs almost 150k.

It’s an o9 model so 60k for the car.
ITAL BL00D 09 GTRs go for half that and if you get one with some issues they are in the 20s which most people go for considering it's all going to get rebuilt wether it's working or not when you double tripple the power.

At 3:20 ..the Demon intentionally had 10 mph of momentum on the ZR1 before the ZR1 accelerated. Another 500 ft, and the ZR1 was going around the Demon.

I still rather have the Corvette than any of those other cars except maybe the McLaren of course. Everyone as always hating on the corvette but it is stock first of all and they didn’t build it as an all out race car like they did the Demon. Plus it handles like a beast on curves. For the price, Corvette is still the winner in my book.

And everyone all butthurt and all they raced for was for a comparison to a stock car, that’s all so that shows how much more bad ass that corvette truly is.

@Jon Davis the zr1 is lighter and more areo dynamic, that's why it froze the demon and then started pulling it back up above 120mph.... If they keep going the zr1 passes it and the demon never comes back by it..... The zr1 tops out over 205mph

Its uncomfortable (seats) and passenger cant see or adjust anything. Its actually terrible.
I'd take the zr1 all day. That thing is amazing. $10k and you have close to 1,000hp. And it sounds wicked.

720s are a lot lighter.. That's the good thing about power to weight ratio
Still seems weird that the McLaren was pulling on the ZR1 so hard. The Vette weighs ~500lbs more but has more power (755hp vs 710hp). Maybe the McLaren is very underrated from the factory.
Elfear73 I think it's barely noticeable the horsepower difference but 500+lbs is significant. I think the porsche 911 gt2 rs is a better race.
I think you're right. I was thinking the extra 45hp would almost make up for the extra weight (i.e. McLaren might pull slightly) but 500lbs less weight is worth almost 100hp at the 10sec 1/4 time range.
Elfear73 the McLaren makes 690+ whp on the dyno, stock. Look up what the ZR1 makes

Cool video 2019 ZR1 is already a collectible legend. Keep in mind a STOCK ZR1 runs low 10s in the quarter but it’s mainly designed for road course duties. You have to compare it to sports cars in the same price range , it’ll beat almost anything at any given road coarse.

So a pulled and tuned demon with a rolling start cant pull a full car length on a stock zr1
Not pullied, it has the stock 160mph governer removed and a catch can, thats it, the fuel tables haven't even been changed so its not "tuned" just ungoverned
