  • Do you suffer from neck tension? Have you tried all the different treatments but nothing seems to work? If you answer yes to any of these questions, then this video is for you.
In this video, I'm going to show you a simple hack that can help you end neck tension for good. This hack is based on the idea that overly using muscles in your neck and shoulders can cause excessive tension leading to pain and discomfort. So by learning to breathe with your diaphragm and ribcage, you can significantly reduce your symptoms. I hope you find this video helpful, and that it helps you to end your suffering from neck tension once and for all!

is it always ribs out on the inhale and compress on the exhale?

Yes, for this specific technique that’s how I coach it. But again it’s not that you’re forceful with this. It’s just working with your body’s natural tendency to expand the ribcage on the inhale and compression on the exhales. I hope that makes sense.

I've had tension in my SCM and trapezius muscles ever since I've had chronic tinnitus in my left ear and jaw tension. I sometimes get flare ups where I can't take deep breaths easily and feels like I've got anxiety. I don't know what is going on in my body. Have you had any clients with chronic tinnitus where this exercise has helped them get rid of their tinnitus? Thanks!

I haven't had very good outcomes with tinnitus and that's a bit out of my scope. However, the anxiety and tension is something I know about. I recommend focusing on full exhales rather than inhales. When we feel like we can't get enough air in, it's often that our respiration is biased toward constant inhalation. When we actually need to fully exhale, pause for a time, and that can assist in offloading oxygen into the body. I hope that helps.

Thanks for your content. Another great way to gain that Feedback is by strapping a miniband real tight around the inferior ribcage.
