I really like how you guys have taken “rig rundown” idea but have the thought to show the drummers personality. Stix is one of the best to do it. The cackles and laughs in the background just tell you he’s a legend.
Every musician in this band has the awesome ability to talk about his craft and instrument, while still transporting great information and knowledge, plus being absurdly entertaining and still be in character. Greatness! Also: great channel!
It only works if they are all monster musicians, and as good or better than most metal acts out there. Think Weird Al. What he did worked "only" because he re-created the songs "better" than the originals. I think Weird Al can play every instrument but drums. But Satchel can play drums!. lol . So yeah for it to work and be funny, the music must be seriously good. It's pretty wild Steel Panther and Weird Al all share one important thing in common: that's (musical) genius.
I can say with such happiness that I have 1 of Stix’s stick’s from Newcastle,UK,May 2023 and it is Vader Rock and fuck me they’re heavy!! It’s no wonder his sound is heavy, the thing look’s like it’s been through the war’s!! Thank’s for the entertainment, dude, thank’s for my tattoo and thank’s for actually pointing me out in the crowd when you threw it to me. Fucking love you,Stix!! 🤘🤘
This is a good video showing that Steel Panther does actually understand "Death to All but Metal". great guys. Never forget fans rock and roll is the big middle finger to the rest of the world, first and foremost!
Beautiful drum set!! I can definitely relate to drums being the keeper of mu sanity!! I also had anger issues growing up. Styx reminds me of sean penn mixed with bill from bill and ted.
Being a pro drummer myself, I have never been in a fight. I just beat the shit out of my drums and after playing....I'm a mellow guy. I do have specific drums with names of people I hate written on the heads though....Just a quirk of mine...heh,hehe,heh
Zadinia C'mon you're Steel Panther, you should have 4 or 6 bass drums! lol! (but seriously ya gotta have 2 for Metal!) thanks for the video! your drums do sound great as DW seem to always do. Fantastic drum company. They Look great as well. thats why one more bass drum would sound and look twice as good! (just fuckin' wit ya' :) lol.
Love Stix, but that snare sounds like dog $hit. Just horrible to my ears. In the mix I don't notice it as much though and I suppose that is all that matters.

"I can't tune drums, I can barely play them" haha love this dude
Amazing rundown! Love Steel Panther's music and humour! The sporadic laugh from the back made it even funnier, lol

AGREE and AGREE! And thanks for watching!
Saw Stix and the boys here in Chicago in March. Great show
The Nashville show was 🔥🔥🔥as well!!!
Say what you want about the act, but both satch and Stix are monster musicians

Priceless! Satchel in the background laughing!

Stix's live sound is gargantuan!!! If he says DW, I believe him. Monster player!!!
I had the privilege of being a direct support for Steel Panther at the Sherman Theater in PA .. great guys
This is a good video showing that Steel Panther does actually understand "Death to All but Metal". great guys. Never forget fans rock and roll is the big middle finger to the rest of the world, first and foremost!
I've been waiting for this!
Love Steel Panther's music and humour!
I'm not like a big classic/hard rock drums guy but maaaan when he rolled from up the concert toms down to the floors, it sounded so thunderous!
the best one yet!
⚡️🤘⚡️
this drummer is a legend
One of the best drummers in the world. and Satchel one of the greatest guitarists of all time. love these guys
HARD AGREE!
Seeing them live recently, I noticed that snare was LOOOOWW, Sounded awesome!
Wish he would do a drumeo day!
To teach people what exactly? How to act like a complete tool?? 😂
Your favorite drummer 😂 😂 😂
Yeah t'es Top Mec !!!!!
Heavy metal Rules 👀
Awesome!
⚡️🤘⚡️
Panter, keeping it fun. Stix 🤘 Feel the steel run-off chicks. Gramige 🤣🤘✌️🏴🇦🇺
hell yeah🤘
Oh yeah dude! I have said it before, styk hits hard as all hell and he’s a damn good drummer!
The laughing in the background sounds like that one ostrich in family guy lol
Wonferful!! Love SP!!
@Jarrad James F*CK YEAH!!!
I play only DW and Sabian also. I have some of those same cymbals. He is 100% on the chad smith holy chinas. Great kit, Great drummer
I have a suggestion/ suggestions for a drum rig run down. Jen ledger from skillet. Jeff plate from TSO.
And more.
Stix is on fire
I would have gone with two kick, two center toms and two floors. Classic hair metal set up
I agree. He used to use a set up like that, back in the day, but I read that he switched because he likes the more compact feel of a single kick kit.
@@nealbraatz3911 single kick is def easier pedal wise. Doesn't look as cool tho
Beautiful drum set!! I can definitely relate to drums being the keeper of mu sanity!! I also had anger issues growing up. Styx reminds me of sean penn mixed with bill from bill and ted.
All jokes aside, Stix is a great solid pocket drummer. Always spot on when he plays.
it's a joke until you watch them play their instruments, then the jokes are just icing! ⚡️⚡️
He's not as 'cartoonish' as the other guys.
The others aren’t either when they aren’t playing it up especially when talking about something serious.
I’ve noticed that they all seem to have eased up on the act a bit in interviews.
I saw Def Lep on the Hysteria tour in Dallas. Europe was the opening act. JS
I would kill for that drum finish
"I feel like I'm 13 years old." Well, that's close enough 😂
What a cool guy
Being a pro drummer myself, I have never been in a fight. I just beat the shit out of my drums and after playing....I'm a mellow guy. I do have specific drums with names of people I hate written on the heads though....Just a quirk of mine...heh,hehe,heh
Wow! Are these guys So Cal, or what?!?
Proper metal kits always have more cymbals than drums.
I'm counting all the metal things Neal Peart had on his kit so it's still valid.
STIX!!!!🍺👍
that's the only thing i don't like is that low tuned snare sounds like you're slapping mud
Sounds like blowing mud
Are those HHX Plosions?
John Bonham of glam metal ...
lol Jail preventors LOl Right On!
I miss Stix using double bass drums
Great video but why not talk about the rack?
Marcoooo 😂
remo beefs
Hilarious. These guys, Spinal Tap, and Pianosaurus.
Need a drum key
Zadinia C'mon you're Steel Panther, you should have 4 or 6 bass drums! lol! (but seriously ya gotta have 2 for Metal!) thanks for the video! your drums do sound great as DW seem to always do. He did, even if its for show I don't care lol
Love Stix, but that snare sounds like dog $hit. Just horrible to my ears. In the mix I don't notice it as much though and I suppose that is all that matters.
Too low. I love the band, but have always hated his drum sound.
Hmm... Only a matter of taste...!! I think they sounds great..!! 👍
@@svogender*Matter.
