I was a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Gabon 1990-92. Wonderful country. Next time you must go into the interior where the landscape is incredible and people also friendly. The country is 80% tropical rain forest and has many protected national parks. It takes more time and $$, but gives a more in depth view of the country. They like Americans better than the French too!
Wow this is why i subscribed to your channel 😭😭😭😭😭 so crazy cos I was like I want to go to Gabon soon.!! If I could like it a 100 times I would!.. Great vid!! 👏👏
Very nice video with some insights on the local culture here. One popular attraction in Libreville is La Pointe Denis (beach resort across Libreville’s bay). It also has its own national park.
I'm in Mobile AL, and a few years back I met a lady from Gabon at the bus station. Gabon has been on my radar ever since. Concerning Africa, I visited Egypt and Morocco. Your video has pushed Libreville higher on my travel list. Excellent video, Thanks!!!
Definitely one of the best vlogs I have watched of my country. Next time you should go to La pointe Denis, and visit Nyonie national parc or the other parcs we have.
I plan to go to Libreville next february! I can't wait this country is a part of my dream! And the wildlife there man... I wanna see it! Thanks for your very nice video.
Gabon is definitely on my list for next year. I’ve traveled to a number of African countries, you’re right you don’t hear too much about this Country it looks interesting. Purpose for my visit to find out if there’s a memorial for the late Singer Oliver N Goma I like his music even though I don’t understand anything.
The music at 3:24 is amazing, what is it ?? Also, thank you for the great video! I like how warm and respectful you are, not typical RUclips vlogger center of attention lol. Makes me want to check out the place!
Hey bud, when did you go to Gabon. Read lots on the travel advisory websites about Gabon not being safe. But seems pretty safe to me from your video. Any advice on travelling there in 2025?
I went last year. If was extremely safe. DM me over on Instagram "Scott LeRay". We can set up a consultation and I can answer all your questions in detail.
Noone does a video of traveling to Gabon. This the first one I have seen. Libreville and Freetown means the same thing. I wonder if Libreville was founded by slaves or something
@@travelconnect1 Thanks. I just got off the phone with the embassy in NY. Well, in DC. My African ancestry’s paternal test said I’m from the Fang tribe in Gabon. I guess I’m looking for info on how to connect with home!! Thanks for your help.
Prior to my visit, everything I read online said I needed a VISA and could get it on arrival at the airport in Gabon. However, when I arrived in Gabon, the customs agent said it is not required. Very confusing. Good luck.
Aloha & love the vid. I read that United states passport holders don"t need a visa to enter Gabon. Was this the case for you? Just book a ticket and go?
Before my trip everything I read stated I could get a VISA on arrival, but when I got to the Airport the agents said I did not need one. So no, I didn't need a VISA to enter. But make sure you do solid research before your trip because things change.

Maybe. The rain forest sound a bit intimidating. But I might give it a try. Thanks.

I am going to Libreville in 2 weeks, I am a US citizen and I need to have the visa to enter 🤷♀️

Yes, you do need a visa to enter in Gabon 🇬🇦 as Gabonese people need a visa to go to the United States. It's the law.
