My boi Dimitri out here dropping fools left and right.
I understand every Dimitri won't be this strong. Report says that only 69% of Dimitri will never get this strong, while to other 69% are stronger. This is what happens when you lose track of what number playthrough you are on and have nothing better to do.
Build 1
High Atk, Decent Crit rate, Kills 99% of enemies in the game with one hit.
Items: Areadbhar and any other items/weapons you want. March Ring, or Critical Ring for Accessory.
Battalion: King of Lions
Abilities: Anything that boosts damage and crit. (See video again for abilities)
Build 2
100% Crit on defending turns, Kills ranged unit 1-2, Counter Enemies before they get the chance to hit you. (Crit rate changes depending on how weak your Dimitri is. Strong Dimitri will always crit)
Items: Gradivus (or any ranged lance), March Ring
Battalion: King of Lions
Abilities: Battalion Vantage, Battalion Wrath, and any other abilities of your choosing.
Somewhere in the video my highest was 180 DMG on the DMG calculator. Getting over 200 shouldn't be to hard with a little more setup. Unfortunately I don't want to continue to work on DImitri, as I have other characters I want to work on, plus starting a new run.

It's less accurate than holding gauntlets, but I don't think that's a concern at this point. Also it makes canonically sense for him to use his hands. We've already seen how strong his grip is...

How to have a busted Dimitri:
Level up Authority.
Get Battalion Vantage and Wrath.
Give him a Battalion that helps out his Crit, Cichol Wyverns or Fraldarius Troops are good picks. Then make sure that Battalion is very low on durability.
Be mindful of enemy attack ranges, Dimitri can't attack more than 2 spaces away.
Dimitri is now not even a dodge tank, he's just a death tank.
Garrett Seno I did exactly this, but I enhanced it my giving him retribution every 5 turns (if the map lasted that long). The only margins of error were enemies with crit nullification, and ballistas (since you can't counter them)

If there is going to be a DLC route with all three as playable, they could make it so hard, that all three are necessary. Or they could compensate all the students being playable in one route by limiting on how many students can be developed in-depth like how students recruited from other houses are at a natural disadvantage with not catching up with class/weapony/movement type mastery. From the way the main game built up its story, even a "Golden" ending would still have the non-playable characters in the story as casualties so that it would still be bittersweet.
I’d be Happy with Side Story maps or story arcs like they with earlier games, and esp. if they let you play units in combinations that you otherwise wouldn’t.

There is an item in the game that can give anyone the full crest :p ya know those new game plus stones that say something like (insert thing) dragon stone and stuff
A_Person_YT crest items have an activation rate lower than that of Minor Crests, it’s dependant on the specific crest in question, but it’s usually around 5% chance, with minor crests around 10%, and major being around 40%
Wouldn't his offspring's Crest be weaker? The game's lore states that a person's chances of bearing a Major Crest are higher the closer their blood relation is to various saints and heroes. Dimitri is already pretty far removed from Blaiddyd, so his son/daughter would be even further removed. Of course, there is also a chance of Major Crests manifesting in the kids of parents who are completely Crestless, and the game intentionally leaves the rules of how Crests work pretty vague, so who knows? Maybe Dimitri Jr. will end up with a Major Crest of Blaiddyd and turn into an absolute beast on the battlefield. (I'm not sure how the Major Crest would be different; probably a higher activation rate, though that would usually hurt more than it helps considering it uses up more weapon durability and Dimitri usually kills things in one hit anyway, so the extra power would mostly be just for style points and memes. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course.)

Even in lore, his physical strength is rumored to be beyond normal. There are a few hints confirming this (spoilers):
One of the people at the monestary talk about how Dimitri is rumored to have "superhuman strength".
1. Dimitri single-handedly killed killed many soldiers and thieves during the 5 years. His carnage garnered a reputation aceoss Fodlan.
2. Felix talks about how when they were 8, Dimitri swung a sword hard enough to break it.
3. In the DLC, when a certain massive door shut, Dimitri talks about how "even" he couldn't pry it open.
4. The advice box has a note where Dimitri laments his struggle to prevent accidentally destroying the weapons he trains with.
5. Dimitri's lost items include unexpectedly broken training gear.
6. He is seen sparring against both Dedue and Felix at once with casual confidence.
7. Dimitri, upon learning of Flame Emperor's identity, shows off a Herculean performance of strength against the soldiers who attacked him.
8. Dimitri is the only character with a crit animation where he destroys the earth beneath him without magic, sacred weapons, or heroes' relics. He also does so by throwing the spear downward against the enemy, further emphasizing that this was a display of strength.
From a standpoint of physical strength, Dimitri is likely the strongest human in Fodlan. I wonder if his crest is responsible for this abnormal quality. Are there any other details that highlight his strength that I haven't mentioned?
In his support with Raphael, Dimitri was casually mentioned to be able to lift a wagon with ease. Oh and that he trained by running around the mountain in heavy armor all night when he was a kid lmao
Dimitri also said he trained as well by lifting boulders and carrying barrels filled with rocks. I swear to god this man is beyond a beast.

You need to use more combat arts to see it more often. I tend to make sniper Dimitri so he can use hunter's volley. He procs the crest with the bow quite often, either with hunter's volley or even with curved shot.

You have to forge it. I know that in one of the special monster auxillery battles, a beast drops a rusted lance that can be forged to Gradivus. Although you need a pretty high professor level, and a rare material.

For build two you don’t need ranged lances... use the wonderful gambit that is RETRIBUTION. Distance Counter Is OP.
Granted you can’t do solo runs this way but you get to counter everything like bow knights and 10 range mages.

TECHNICALLY speaking, you're still holding back, the hero class gives defiant strength when mastered which is another +8 to that boi whenever he has 25% or less hp so that can be up to 48 more dmg on an atrocity crit+crest hit.

I will forever believe that the Blue Lions are the best house Azure Moon is the only route I replayed just for the sake of playing again (I did play crimson Flower Twice but that’s because the first time I played it Jritza wasn’t playable yet and I needed his Supports especially with Mercedes that’s also time I recruited the Ashen Wolfs so I got Constance’s supports with both of them too but if I could have recruited Jritza on Azure Moon instead I would have played it a third time instead)
