    Thanks for putting this together. Seems like the Mark's adapter is the main hurdle for most of us in the States, especially since it's discontinued through Mark's directly. Guess I'll have to get more creative.

    Nice! Toasty is working on a couple of 1UZ swaps here in AZ. Keep an eye out!

      1uz would be awesome, I just went this one because down here these engines are extremely common and super reliable, was very hard to pass up on, toasty is a legend though

    Good stuff to learn from. General question; does the 6g72 v6 engine work as a drop-in for first generation Paj(1988)? Transmission? I'm looking at a super clean 88 with high roof/sunroof but shot engine. And preferably didn't want to swap in another 4 cylinder(4g54)/carb. Could even settle for 4G64 if its a drop-in....

    • @yehawwww
      @yehawwww  Месяц назад

      Hey there! So for a 6g72 you’ll need the whole ecu and the gearbox as well as front and rear diffs
      It’s pretty much a complete swap out
      As ratios all change for front and rear diffs as well as size
      Then gearbox is the truck style gearbox which is different to the km145 that the 4g54’s came with
      Then the basic ecu and wiring to get it working, it definitely has been done and people often use complete running gear from the Gen 2’s

      @@yehawwww Thanks so much. So pretty much only thing stock would be the body. Does the underbody require any modification for the 6G72/tran/...? How about a 4G64 swap?

    • @yehawwww
      @yehawwww  Месяц назад

      @@farzamg7405 from memory I don’t think so but don’t quote me on that, engine mounts are an obvious factor when swapping them structurally wise.
      4g64 wise
      This would be a matter of matching it to the original gearbox which (may) be possible
      I’m not too sure on the bellhousing pattern on the 64, I’ll do some research and get back to you

    how do you like the clutch? deciding between that and the safari tuff - it seems most poeple go for the safari but may be a bit over kill for moslty daily driving

    • @yehawwww
      @yehawwww  7 месяцев назад

      I love the clutch, it’s heavy but light and for me being a pretty new to driving manual (my first manual car) it’s prefect, I like it heavy as it feels a bit better rolling in and out of gear and has good bite

    • @yehawwww
      @yehawwww  Год назад

      Temp gauge works off the temp sender, mine was 1 wire running through the ecu then piggy backed onto the dash

      I’d say anything pre-vy but use a VN wiring loom or use a vp loom depending hour tuneable you want it
