Prong is possibly the most underrated bands EVER! They really should be talked abt in the same breath as Pantera, Metallica and Megadeth when discussing the greatest Metal/Groove Metal bands. It's sad to see bands like Prong kind of sliding into irrelevance because they never got huge and now everyone listens to HipHop/Rap.
Haha in many ways Prong is better than Pantera and specially Metallica. The thing is that Prong had that strange futuristic vibe that some people didnt get into.
I have been a fan since the late 80's. These guys could make a lot of money if they had the right management. I listen to Prong on Apple Music at least once or twice a week. I own their CDs. I would pay money to hang out with these guys or see them in concert. Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck!
Mr Victor has a distinct guitar style that's all his own, hard to find in newer players IMO. A lot of the Metalcore guys sound like they all listened to the same 5 or albums and based their style from that. Thus, they all sound the same. It was a bit shocking to hear Tommy rents a room, but he probably still lives in NYC-renting a decent room is NOT $100 a week or something in NYC. As far as music goes, I feel Beg to Differ, Prove You Wrong, Cleansing and Rude awakening are prong's best material. Check them out if you haven't.
I remember the first time I saw the video to Snap your fingers, snap your neck. The creativity of the song in that genre made my jaw drop. Fast forward more than 20 years and I still love what Tommy comes up with. Prong FTW🔥 / Sebi
been a prong fan since force fed !! the dude's a legend . Loved it when he played with Uncle Al too .such a riff master, politically articulate too and Egoless which is remarkable for someone with such pedigree . going to see humble Tommy on the 14th of july in Germany .fucking pumped for "dear life"
+Axel the Frank Thanks for sharing, Axel. Been an admirer of Tommy's work since Prove You Wrong. Absolutely fantastic artist and a great person to talk to about various topics. I enjoyed filming this interview very much thanks to Tommy. / Sebi
I've been listening to Prong since the 90s. This was an awesome interview. He's really down to earth, and easy going. I really liked his answer to the question of greed. Super cool!
Tommy is such an articulate dude. Great points made by Tommy. I love " PRONG" I saw Prong open for Pantera at Nassau Coliseum, and Sepultura No Showed!!! That show is on youtube!!! It was in 1994!!! Prong kicked ass, and Pantera kicked ass!!! They did some Sepultura songs, and Tommy & Phil and all the guys [ Dime& Vince]( RIP) Rocked together on a few tunes!!! Great show!!!! Tommy, you are a Cool, Down to Earth Guy.🤘🤘
Surprised to hear that Tommy rents a room in ahouse to live and how frugal he is. He's been around so long and is a Thrash Metal Legend. He should be living better. Humble dude too.
Unless ur slayer or megadeth u won't make a lot of money. In fact u'll probably make less money than if you were in a normal office job, but... who the fuck wants to have an office job?
I love prong, and tommy seems to be a level headed person, thoughtful and really cares about his fans. Thanks for doing a great video, both of you, good luck.
+Amy Jo Thanks for watching and commenting, Amy. It is truly great to see Tommy releasing more Prong material and touring again. Prong is an underrated band that deserves more credit. /Sebi
This is one of the best interviews I have ever seen. I had a friend when I was teenager who had their demo tape. They always had more of a hard-core sound to me, more than metal. Either way, they are great!
Badass interview, really interesting questions, I love every second of it. About Tommy, what to say, he its still years light ahead of so many artists. I 've never fund anything, but for Prong I'll do it.
Thanks for watching and for the kind comment🙏 Tommy is a class act. Humble and a great artist. We are happy to support him and his music any way we can.
Can’t compare with their previous eras, but I’ve seen Tommy and Prong a couple of times in the past few years and loved their performances to the max! / Sebi
Tommy's one of those cats that's never done a bad record, IMO. Dude always kills it. Especially on Danzig's 'Deth Red Sabaoth'. It was very cool to hear him whip out some blues style on that.
Excellent questions, and great responses from Tommy. Best interview I've heard all year. Too bad it happened over five years ago. 🤣 P.S. That's my bad.
I remember hating " and justice for all" because I was listening to "Beg to Differ" at the time... I suspect one of these days Tommy will have a massive hit in the media and won't know what he should do about it!
Tommy Victor was born in 1961/1962. In this video he should be 54/55 yeras old! He is looking great for that age! I do NOT like usually METAL music (I am into electronic), but PRONG is a great band, because it is a good mix of the different genres crossover: Groove; thrash; alternative and industrial metal! Once in the 90s I even was by the PRONG`s concert here in Germany.
Real down to earth, he could pass as an actor in a medieval Knights Templar or something..lol Great dude, killer music, we need to fund these guys, it would be tit
I know all the albums, and been a major fan since beg to differ. I believe my fave is rude awakening. Thanks for all the music Tommy, and thanks for having nothing to do with Al's antifa b.s.- love ministry too but he's finally lost his mind. If you see this EVER- Detroit loves Prong (ministry too...lol)
Mad respect for this massively under appreciated musician
👍

New album is brilliant, back with vengeance
Tommy is a chill dude. I met him at a show, and we talked about real estate and the band Killing Joke. Ha!
A very chill dude indeed 👍
Now if only you can end up talking to Jaz Coleman about Prong...
Tommy is a genius. Prong rock.
+Reggie Clayton Thanks for watching, Reggie. Yeah, Tommy and Prong rock immensely 🤘 /Sebi
I would like to see a Prong/Electric Six tour. I reckon it would be like when The Outlaws opened for Sabbathn on the Heaven and Hell tour
I have seen PRONG live this year, sounded amazing. Btw. he looks pretty good and fit for his age 🙂
He's doesn't drink anymore .
Tommy is one of the nicest dudes in the biz. Have met and hung out with him after shows a handful of times and he remembered me every single time!
I remember seeing "prove you wrong" on Beavis and Butthead back in the day and been hooked ever since
Tommy is such a nice guy!
Indeed. Was a true pleasure talking to him. / Sebi

I remember when 'Rude Awakening' came out and blew me away. And today they're still great. Great respect for Mr. Victor.

Yes, Tommy was great to talk to and has a great attitude towards the state of the music business. Thanks for watching the interview.
Greed makes u do boring things.

Agreed! 👍 /Sebi
Watch the Bus Invaders video with him. He definitely put money and thought into their rig.
Unless ur slayer or megadeth u won't make a lot of money. In fact u'll probably make less money than if you were in a normal office job, but... who the fuck wants to have an office job?
@@SaylerTyes, thats why he doesnt have much money, cos everything goes to good gear so the band keeps going.
Very good interview and interviewer was good and asked decent questions.
Thanks a bunch🙌

I'd heard of prong but till I seen more material I didn't know he was as good in taste w riffs. Really nice taste

Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting. Glad you liked it🙌
Saw them with Pantera on the Cowboys From Hell tour at the Spectrum in Philadelphia
Bad ass Riffs are timeless. Dig your stuff Bro. Have been a fan since the beginning or the good ole days.
Keep up the great work!!!
The Prong records since 2012 have all been solid "A" records. Ruining Lives was killer.
I agree. Ruining Lives is fabulous. Currently, though, been spinning Zero Days most often. / Sebi
One awesome record a year from Carved Into Stone till present.
Tommy is the real deal. He does what he does because he loves it. That's when the music comes out good.
Badass interview, really interesting questions, I love every second of it. About Tommy, what to say, he its still years light ahead of so many artists. I 've never fund anything, but for Prong I'll do it.

I've been a fan since Beg To Differ and first saw Prong in early 90's, and Tommy was better than ever last year in 2018.
Can’t compare with their previous eras, but I’ve seen Tommy and Prong a couple of times in the past few years and loved their performances to the max! / Sebi

great interview Sebastiano, congrats! Tommy Victor is a true inspiration.
+confront ational Thanks a bunch for the kind comment! Yes, Tommy is truly an inspiration 🙌
Tommy is the man, when he says he’s frugal, just look at his rig 😂 dude can make any rig sound so good! The riff compels him. Prong rules
Excellent questions, and great responses from Tommy. Best interview I've heard all year. Too bad it happened over five years ago. 🤣
P.S. That's my bad.
Thanks for watching and for the compliment. We really appreciate. And, sorry RUclips hid this video from you for five years😅
Lot of respect for that man, just plays for the music and still tries.
Tommy and Prong kick ass!!!
The voice of crossover/industrial ladies and gentlemen

Thank you for your music Tommy Victor. I’ve been around since Beg to Differ, lost track of ya but I’m gonna catch up with the new stuff.
Power of the Damager and Carved into Stone are great top to bottom imo!
