Good to see you back :) I liked the ending. Very motivational. It's so happened that yesterday I got a wrist cast on and I can only take it of after two weeks. It's hard to do anything with that hand but I'm still trying to play guitar. I can't imagine not playing it for that long. So I totally agree with him. When you love what you do you'll find ways to do it.

Thanks for being back with us 😃 and so sorry to read about your hand. Wish you get well soon! Yeah, the story of Mike is incredible. So happy that he overcame this. He truly is an inspiration 🙌 / Sebi

Thanks for this interview. Having met Mike over the years after his gigs, he always seems professional and kind. Nicest guy, you know. And, in some sense, he's correct about the social media craze. I myself have stepped back from posting things just because folks get VERY hot headed about, well. . .anything, really. However, I love RUclips for more realistic reasons ( like guitar lesson stuff or even finding this very interview! ). I know plenty of people who record concerts with their phones and they have NEVER published those videos on RUclips nor received a dime from it ( they're just fanatics like me ). But it's nice to see Mike state his important opinion and keep doing what he loves to do which is playing/writing music. Great job with the interview.

Many thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts with us, David, and for the kind words. Mike is indeed a very nice person. We spent some more time talking about these subjects after the interview and it became even more obvious what effect technology has had on artists like Mike. I think companies and artists are still trying to figure out how to adapt and make their venture viable in regard to music promotion and consumption. I started spending more money directly for merch at gigs to support my favorite artists. / Sebi

Definitely insipring to hear Mike talk working through difficulties. For any of you guitarists out there who cannot always play, I have found that a launchpad (or other grid based MIDI device) can be set up rather similar in terms of note configuration, so you can use those as a workaround if you can't always play guitar!

HEY MAN THANKS FOR POSTING AND SHARING THIS BUT, FIND A MORE QUIET PLACE FOR YOUR INTERVIEWS. IT'S REALLY BAD TO HEAR ALL THAT CLUTTER AND CHATTER IN THE BACKGROUND. VERY DISTRACTING. YOU ARE DOING A GOOD JOB, DON'T RUIN IT BY CHOOSING VERY INAPPROPRIATE LOCATIONS.

Thanks for the kind words and feedback, Gustavo. I understand what you mean. We try to find quiet locations. However, most times we just have to work with what we have at our disposition, since we do everything on the fly. Cheers! / Sebi
