- Here's a detailed video of the first servicing for the New Himalayan. The cost, and what all is done in it. You wouldn't believe how cheap it is!
The first service is done at 500kms or 30 days, which ever comes earlier.
Also, The Royal Enfield service centre guys don't allow shooting video inside their premises so I did what I could with what I had.
Now that I got my first servicing done, I cannot wait to push this bike and take it touring! Summer is coming and the mountains are calling!

I got mine serviced yesterday, They didn't change other O rings except for the oil filter cap. Really loving the sound of exhaust after service.
Right on!!
The video was really great and informative!
thank you for watching iy :)
I believe the manual says even after the first service we have to keep engine below 6k rpm till it completes 2000kms.
I push it on and off and do take it about 6k rpm. I saw in one of the YT videos where I learned that it is alright to push it on and off. And I am currently at 1800, so basically completing 2000 in about a day or two. lol
I found out they used premium parts in Himalayan 450
Brembo brake pads
DID chain
Showa suspension
Excel takasago
high quality parts has been used on this bike
No one ever talk about these things
Yep, they do, and yes working on a video on them. :)
The irony is, most of us when goes to the showroom with our bikes. Doesn't gets the same treatment as we see in the videos. Those little little things which makes the service experience and service better are mostly lacking at most the showrooms. Glad this bike was serviced well.
this is sad but very true. My rule of thumb is treating people is always the way forward. Kindness always comes back :).
I love your videos. Great content very informative.
Btw what camera are you using and helmet camera mount? I like this point of view shot for your video too.
Helmet camera mount and camera links are in the description. Do check them out. 🫶🏽
every how many km should the valves be adjusted? Thank you
They do it after 10k
mine too is drifting towards right, I am going for my first service tomorrow, any tip on what exactly to ask them regarding this problem?
Tell them bike pulls to the right. And they will do the needful
Thanks mate
Does it have the usb port in the stock bike?
Yep it does indeed.
The visibility of instrument cluster display of himalayan 450 is not even visible on any camera while riding can u let me why is this happening?
Refresh rate and frame rate thing. All LCD displays have that. It is not an issue just something to do with figuring out what works in what. 🤌🏽🙏🏽
@@SrinivasGanesh do try it sir and let us know what will be the best... Cuz I don't even own a HIMALAYAN LOL 😂
@@anurag_690 lol I already have done it on mine. Hence it doesn’t flicker. However it does black out every now and then in ambient lighting conditions.
@@SrinivasGanesh alr but this I never saw on people's who are driving gsa and any other adv bikes
What’s your take on adventure 390
It’s a good adv!
can you share the link or details of your gloves ❤please 🙏🏻
These gloves are not made anymore though. :(
Isnt it mandatory to check valve clearances
In second servicing it is.
That John Connor scene was from the Director's Cut of Terminator 2, wasn't it?
good eye 😎✌🏽
@@SrinivasGanesh Yeah, I know that scene isn't in the theatrical cut. Have to go back and watch it again!
@@twowheeledparadox haha awesome!
I got mine yesterday..😅😅😅 Any tips to be followed before the first service
Keep it under 4500 RPM. And you’re good. 🙌🏽 congratulations!
do we need to book/ take appointment before going to service center ?
Unless you want to wait in a line and have no problems leaving your bike at the service centre.
I saw a lot of Himalayan 450 problems would you recommend us to use this bike or not sir?
Thank you
Any new bike will have teething issues which will take a year to iron out
Even I have pointed out so many things that are not that good on this bike, but you know what, I would definitely recommend this bike! It is just so much fun to ride this!!! The value for money is bang on and it just glides over imperfect and perfect roads alike!!
This too
I Like this a lot I think it is time to ride my first Royal Enfield branch. Thanks, man
@@SrinivasGanesh
Hi brother may I know the ex showroom price and on road price 😅.
I paid INR 2.7L for ex-showroom and INR 3.2L on road.
@@SrinivasGanesh thank you brother..and may I know like . was that worth every penny 🙂? Pls reply.
@@sooraj4632 yes, that is why I am making video of the bike. I love it.
And one last question... how's the pillion comfort and what'll be the service cost after free services ...any guesses.
Mine kamet white pulling towards right, workshop said its common, pathetic. They dont hv anyone there to fix spokes.
damn, you just have to get the wheels aligned. It will be solved.
lekin mai to firse apki video mai bike ki buraii sunne ayya thaa
hahahahahahahaha, well even though maine 15000 galtiyan nikali, but I still bought the bike na, because it is too much fun to ride it! It just glides over imperfect and perfect roads!!!
