I love so much about this show. Not just this particular episode, but all of them. Carol, with her enthusiasm for and knowledge of plants and gardening, all the lovely, and often magnificent gardens, and I would add that the sequence of the seasons is also just right: begin with autumn when we both celebrate what's already happened, enjoy the glorious finale, and also even start thinking about what will be coming in the spring. Then comes winter, which has its own beauty, and also includes the anticipation of spring getting ever closer, and then SPRING! YAY! I'm in the US, zone 5 (can get down to -20 degrees F/-29C), and we have a long cold winter. What helps my spirit survive all the cold and snow is envisioning spring and all the life happening in the plants growing and flowers blooming.
Гениально, вот что значит настоящий вкус, чувство художника, такие волшебные сочетания форм и цвета! Браво!!! Можно смотреть и 100 раз и не надоест. И оличная операторская работа. Спасибо, что поделились таким шедевром!
How wonderful to spend time with like-minded plant folk. I would totally hug a tree. I love pruning and shaping trees. Quite the legacy with the Bloom family.
You can always leave the leaves, it is what the bugs live in, and caterpillars and other bugs are essential for birds to feed their babies in the spring! And the worms eat it and it amends the soil. You don't always need to tidy, nature has a plan.
Thank you so much, Meaghan. I live on 4 acres surrounded by trees. If you could see my yard, you would think fondly of me. Unfortunately, I just can’t get on top of it. If I’m not raking I’m picking up fallen branches. I would love a beautiful green lawn with beautiful plants and shrubs around the perimeter. Pray with me, friends. 😁
I was watching TV RUclipss and saw you, I think, talking to a person that uses a huge amount of compost. Doesn’t dig but puts it right on the ground. And uses a lot of compost right next to established plants. She seemed to add all kinds of things together ignoring what others say on how far apart to keep plants. Had nice crisp boarders. I’m old and I want a garden started like hers. Do you remember such a gardener? If so, I would like to watch your RUclips again. Hope you will let me know! I live in Ames, Iowa USA. Thank you! What an inspirational and wonderful presenter Carol is, and to showcase this magnificent garden and its outstandingly creator gardeners throughout the ages, a true legacy. Yes, this is a garden for the ages, it is breathtaking and speaks to our souls, it’s as if God has taken a palette knife and coloured the landscape with plants of all shapes and sizes and colours. I don’t think I’m ever likely to see a more inspiring garden in my life. A truly wonderful and moving experience watching this episode. Thanks a million, a thousand ideas to try and recreate.
I remember Adrian Bloom from the old Victory Garden series and he is one of the reasons why I became a master gardener. Since plants are so expensive we need more shows like these that deliver credible information with gardens that have proven to stand the test if time.
THANK YOU, THIS JUST SPLENDID. Both these grounds, gardens, and good camera work, and so you know MUCH appreciated. I a, a former Brit..a mere 4 centuries as my family came here first in 1636.

I thought I had found my favorite episode in this series, but this one is now my favorite. It was an absolute pleasure to tour this magnificent garden.
British gardens have been an inspiration for me since I was very young. Over the years I have created an ornamental "English garden" which is both wildlife-friendly and no-dig. The garden is located in the suburbs of a big city in central Europe, in zone 6b. It is visited by countless bird species all year round, the list of the species is under my latest video.

A production note: I love how you started in fall. That’s truly the epitome to me of the blooming out…
