Note: There's a segment missing at 4:32 in which Jeff spoke about how you should rest for a maximum of 2 minutes between sets, which is what I'm referencing when I state "I strongly disagree with that...". Editing mistake, my bad!
I stopped believing in “perfect” workouts the moment I had seen exactly two that didn’t match. Then I started making up workouts that were perfect for me, at that time, in that context.
I like your content so much. After following the big guns in fitness I always come back to you. I would love if you do more of such videos, specially on Dr Mike and Greg Doucette.
My favorite online creator is Harold Moore, think he has a channel called TFNL? Yuuge and stronk AF, and pretty smart as well. You should do a video covering him! 🙂
This video was so helpful! This year, I really want to learn about how to properly structure my workouts so I'm hitting all my muscles, how muscles work, and the best ways to make them stronger. I don't care about getting bigger or smaller, I want to be as healthy as I can for as long as I can. I got a little bit of a confidence boost from this because I'm tinkering with my leg day workout and so far I'm on the right track 🤣 thank you so much ❤
My minimum rest tends to be no less than 3 minutes. It's very rare that its less than 3, and that's usually because I've forgotten to put the timer on. At the moment, my favourite's Mitchel Hooper.
Fave gym-related creators on RUclips - YOU, Geoffrey Verity Schofield, Kelly Matthews, Alexander Bromley (don't actually agree with AB on all that much but he is highly intelligent and entertaining), Menno Henselmans (solid science) & Eugene Teo
I love Jeff, but there are some things I take with a pinch of salt when it comes to people like Jeff or dr Mike, mainly in the sense that I feel they sometimes overcomplicate simple stuff, but, I'm curious about the literature you mention that proves lenghten portions of movements are not more hypertrophic. I'm studying to become a coach myself and most literature they show us in the course says that it could possibly cause more hypertrophy than other portions of the movement. They haven't told us to abandon the concentric but they have told us that we should ideally pick excercises that favour lenghtening the muscle. I would really appreciate it if you could share some of the literature you mention that refute this notion in future videos! Would be of great help! Thanks Harry! Love your videos
Agreed! I didn’t say lengthened, I said eccentrics aren’t more hypertrophic (unless I misspoke). That being said, a study just dropped finding no greater gains with lengthened partials versus full ROM (but there are a few concerns with the study)
You're my favorite content creator... and girlwiththedogs, and weratedogs, and... oh! Take a gander at the nicest fitness guy out there, hybridcalisthenics. I'd be interested in your take of his philosophy. I think you'd jive with the guy, even if his videos are aimed at gym-less, weight-less people. Different goals for his audience, good advice nevertheless.

If anyone tries to cover that dude, they’ll need a wide angle lens…
@Moose92411 it was hard trying to fit in the same frame as him TBF.

Dr. Mike next??
Oh....that one would be VERY VERY spicy!
He does mention that he did a video that comes out soon, at around 11:00.
Pending!
Warm up sets is to much reps. Especially if your 90% is above 450lb
Cardio if you ask me
Austin wins again, no shock 😢😢
None whatsoever. LOL.
He needs this haha

Hi.
Heyyy!!!
Hi
My calves are bigger than my brother’s. I pass on calf raises altogether
Valid!
3:45 ooooooh I love a stiff leg deadlift 😍
SAME!
Be nice to Daddy Jeff.
Laying down the law
Harry is pretty cool.
Tolerable**
I think Jeff does overcomplicate things.
Perhaps!

@@TFNLAbsolute star! Thank you. Was beginning to think I’m losing the plot haha
Everyone who watches this will come out stupider and with worse technique. Jeffs physique speaks for itself
Based on that logic, we should disregard Jeff's advice because bodybuilders look better than him despite their training being awful
