I'm starting to get the feeling that Pidcock being British is what's giving him all this attention. Why no one is talking about Narvaes winning TourDownUnder despite him not even being a GC rider.
Good evening Chris.....Pidcock doesn't even come close to Evenepoel's potential.....and never will....but of course he will be a great classics rider...for sure!
IMO, he'll be a really good classics rider, but 'great' is a stretch. I'll be shocked if he were to ever win a Monument. Putting on my fortune teller hat, I see a not-to-distant future with him riding gravel events.
@@scotth3354 Well....I guess that he could win a Monument....he did win AGR and only the greats win that one.....but it wouldn't surprise me if you turn out to be right!
@@pauljansen1137 which Monument do you see him having a chance of winning? As for AGR, the list of winners includes most of the truly great riders, and quite a few really good riders, too. I see Tom in the 'really good rider' camp, compared to the full list of winners. There are quite a few who never won a Monument, and like all races there are quite a few winners who've gone on to be shown to have been doping at the time.
I was wrong about this time but holding my water in regards to Piddy's 2025 season.....appreciate the race analysis and looking forward to the more during the rest of the season!
Thanks. Great to see Chris back. I thought Pidcock looked pretty trim when he showed up at this race. I went back and looked at pics though and he always looks pretty trim. Haha. Great to see him get off to a good start with his new team.
I don't see Pidcock following Evenepoel and the other top stars at L-B-L because he won't have the team support necessary for such an outcome. If he couldn't win L-B-L with Ineos, he certainly won't do it with Q36.5
I can see Pidcock rivalling Remco in a one day race but not a grand tour. Reckon he could hang for 1.5-2 weeks but then drift away (still finish top 10).
The new team hasta be elated with the result. Granted it's not a Hollywood Tour but a Tour win is a Tour win for a small team. Good for him hopefully his mental health is more stable in the environment. Great News is its 2025 & it only gets better from here on out. Tadej is racing in the Dunes so we will get to see what his Big Block Engines running like this spring. Supposedly he's been improving! 😳👍🏼🚵🏼♂️💯
By 'Hollywood Tour', do you mean Grand Tour? FWIW, not withstanding the inclusion of the word 'Tour' in the title of a race, these small one week stage races are just that, short stage races. IOW, it wasn't a 'Tour' win for the team. They won an early season small, inconsequential stage race against 2nd and 3rd tier competition.
What about UnoX stealing 2nd & 3rd on the GC? Good work from a young team.

It's true
Thanks for covering this Chris, you're my best source for following cycling peloton races

Another great breakdown of race tactics brother .... Keep up the great work mate

Moschetti looked sharp!
Chris should be DS at 36.5. That will make 2025 more interesting. Nahhhh, butterfly effect rules
so reminds me of Airgas being leveled up by a guy named Horner....
Are Q36.5 a wild card team for the TdF 2025, and what about other main tours?
The quality of the other riders was very low. No disrespect, but we’ll know where he stands as a GC rider when faces the top ten.

Let’s hope he brings spice all throughout this year! Bravo Tom! ❤🎉
It would be great if Tom has a top year. Make the whole thing more interesting.
No.
With Evenpoel's injury, Pidcock will be better in 2025 as long as he stays healthy.

Let's hope Pidcock's contract bars him from MTB racing. We need as many competitive road racers as possible.
If he does I'm gonna be blaming Remco's team owner.
🤔 if his 5/10 minute power is on the up, and given his past performances there, MSR should be entertaining (assuming Q36.5 are allowed to race it) …
Oh c'mon - can't judge until he goes up against the best.
What is the opposite of a knucklehead?
A daehelkcunk, obviously.
He will be as good as Chris Froome if he keeps on eating donuts and as good as Bradley Wiggins I he keeps on drinking.
Second again
Chris: “Will TOM PIDCOCK be as Good as EVENEPOEL in 2025?”
Answer: “Hell no! BETTER!”
Wow! Jayco found new ways to screw up 😂... not good ... not good at all 👎
Thx for the analysis 🦋
I read that as, will Tp be second tier like Evenepoel. Probably. But no Mvdp or Wva or IDK any top tier racer...tired of the Evenepoel hype.
🤣, not at all
Perhaps as good but way back from Pogi 😂😂
No.
