Rita at Alton Towers BUT BETTER!

- Rita is one of the many coasters located at Alton Towers in Staffordshire, and debatebly, out of them all, is one of the lesser appreciated rides. Today, i take the short, repetitive layout of Rita and give it a whole new layout, featuring elements that, probably exceed the tree height limit.. and even an extra launch, just to add some more excitement!
This was just a bit of fun, realism wasn't taken extremely seriously. If you want to see me remake the layout of another UK coaster, leave a like!

I feel like they made it all about the launch, because it was at the time, a new and exciting element never seen before in the U.K., until stealth topped it one year later. Now, each year, someone in the world creates something even better, making the OGs seem boring and inadequate. I think Rita is very much a coaster of it’s time, and to be honest, that’s one of the reasons I love it so much.

They could easily have designed it so much better, but they made it all about the launch and nothing else.
tbf all it needs is a slightly faster launch so it takes the hills faster and will naturally make it have more airtime. also i dont think rita needs to be a long ride because if it just got slow at the end then it would be a bit borning, the think i love about rita is it keeps most its speed and you dont get a second to breath when speeding along the track and a constant speed
We need a recreation if Galactica now with airtime hills. That would be sick.

This could absolutely be made for real!🤩😃❤️🔥and below the tree line too. With those underground sections, it’s doable. Maybe this should be pitched to Merlin and be new for the 2026 season??🧐💭Who agrees?? Newer track and trains for smoothness of course, but otherwise THIS layout…so much better. I’d try to be there opening week!

I think you could redesign Oblivion... its a good coaster but you could make the layout so much better.

I made a redesign of oblivion today. Now I sound like I'm making an excuse though because my brother may or may not have deleted the world entirely.
Anyway the layout included an inversion (dive loop) under the ground and the top of the dive loop peeped out onto the surface and then back underground.

I'd say start with one of the busier getting rides, e.g either Saw or Colossus - the other 3 big ones tend to not get as big of a queue as those 2 🔥
