That was awesome. The best explanation I have found. Setting up all the child listings first then the parent listing linking them all was the bit of information missing in most other videos. I was confused because initially my Seller Account said 'home & kitchen' was a category that wouldn't allow variations but your method looks like it will work. Thanks.

Luca very good video I wanted to ask that if I create 3 child listings with different descriptions and combine them with a parent listing will all child listings have different descriptions that I entered before or it will have the description of the parent listing.
So it can be a bit glitchy! Sometimes the listing copy will stay different for each child listing, however sometimes the parent listing will override it and the child listings will all have the same copy as the parent listing. If this happens, annoyingly you just have to go back into each child listing and update them one by one.

i dont have the same screen as you for Eg... i dont have vital info option or advance opthion secondly the system is not excepting the asin and lastly i have the option to add images next to each variation.

Do you know how to make a parent listing the same method now that the field isn't showing up?? I also tried to use several different categories to see if that made the variant tab populate, and it did not work.

Hey, glad you found the video helpful! So there isn’t a ‘default child listing’ they are all equal, however only one will ever show up in the search results. The one that shows up will be the best seller for that specific keyword searched by the customer. For some keywords the 16oz might be the one that shows up, for other the 8oz one will show up. There’s no way to control which one shows up unfortunately. If you want both to show up in search results you will need to keep them as separate stand alone listing and rank them both for your target keywords
Great Video! But with the parent listing, it does not say anything under the box of the child asins I entered as being connected. I then go to vital info, and it is asking for me to enter everything such as offer tab, description tab, etc....not sure why? any help be appreciated. TIA

What do I do if my variations are different prices.... I'm selling something at 1 x 6 inches and my variation is 36,48, 60 and then another at 2 x 6 with the same variation but different pricing.... does it matter if my variation price on my parent post is different then the child post?
So you should have a child listing for each variation, looking at your comment, it sounds like you should have 6 child ASINS. The pricing on the child ASINs should match the pricing you enter for them when creating the parent listing. On the variations tab of the parent listing you can enter a different price for each child ASIN.

Nope, they can all be completely different! You just change them in the child listings one by one

Hey, the FNSKU barcode must be on the outside of the product box so that Amazon can scan it when the products arrive at their fulfilment centres.
