Come one, come all! Come celebrate the 50th anniversary of Billy Joel’s first album, Cold Spring Harbor! To honor this momentous occasion, the Cold Spring Harbor Project is hosting a week of activities to celebrate the material and the career that inevitably sprawled from it. On Monday, the Cold Spring Harbor Project is releasing their final mastering of Cold Spring Harbor. With pitch correction, the option between the ’71 or ’83 speeds, and instrument rebalancing, this has got to be the best way to experience the original 1971 mix! Yesterday saw the release of the instrumentals of each track, allowing you to sing to your favorite CSH song with the original number guiding you along! Today comes clips of Joel discussing songs from CSH or written during the CSH-era on his SiriusXM channel.
Coming Thursday…
Finally, on Friday, the restored video and audio from the much-sought-after 1972 concert from WSIU will become available! This concert is the earlies video-recorded concerts of Joel’s career. The concert will be premiered, in full, on the Billy Joel Lost Tapes channel. A chatroom will be accessible during the premiere, as long as you have a RUclips account, and you’ll be able to interact with Boodles, one of the founders of the Cold Spring Harbor Project, along with plenty of other Billy Joel fans! Boodles will be using the Billy Joel Lost Tapes account.

I won't say that Billy Joel is the greatest.... Because y'all already know that!
I'm a super fan at least one week a year and my reason is because he was invited to a local school play that was doing a musical based off his body of work. I'm order to make it about the kids and not about him he never replied to the invite. He showed up just after it started and sat in the back and enjoyed the show.
The way i heard it was he either visited with the kids and the adults who directed it after the show or the next day and made sure the kids knew he saw the play and absolutely loved it.
