Seeing this knocked a lot of edge off because I thought I was the only one had to deal with this annoying shit, and they be thinking they’re good players because the panic mashing works in their favor due to one button reactions

@@darrellwilliams1714 That's the game. There isn't an issue of "falling for it". Everything is negative so you can't really pressure mashers. The only frame traps are chained lights which don't do enough damage to deter anyone and drive rush to get plus frames is not safe if the other person wont stop slapping buttons. Even the worst players won't press after blocking a drive rush because everyone knows it's basically the only time they can't.
You know a Modern Ken doesn't have any thoughts in their head. 😂

@nicorobin7762 Nope. Smug is a good player. He's playing a new character against a scrub masher. Scrubs don't know what they're doing or why they're doing it which is why they're hard to pin down. They do random shit. Which is also why Smug almost lost.

Seeing the difference between your combos in the first set and the second is pretty staggering. I really need to start playing enough where I don't drop stuff in games, despite being able to do the combos just fine in training mode. It's so frustrating because I know I can do them
It's different when you have to remember while being attacked.
Honestly, playing against CPUs helps me a lot with that. You don't have the pressure of figuring out a thinking human being, but it's similar enough to a real match that you can start to develop the muscle memory, and situational awareness of when to go for the combo. Then, once you get comfortable with it, hop back online and it'll be much easier to land

Playing against a masher is the most frustrating thing ever. Especially against Ken Players... like I cannot remember the last time i played a ken that kept mashing DP or spam dragon dash hadokens out of neutral

Ken working hard as usual
They heard not to flowchart, so instead they play so random even they're not sure what's going to happen. Basically my kryptonite as a person and relies heavily on pacing and reads to avoid being overwhelmed. My reactions are great... But only when it's in situations I can control and limit options for. These people disregard all of that and just monkey mode, flustering me and tanking my reaction speed.
This is when I just poke from like half screen and pray with Aki. With Lily I just run away, get charges, and bank off them not understanding her frame advantage with charges/meaties to land high punish damage.
That sounds like a smart player to me. Why would I play predictable as hell so you can just counter everything I do? That's why I play random lol
@@darrellwilliams1714being random is not a good strategy. say it works 40% of the time against a good player and you can catch them off guard. you are still not going to consistently beat them. they will adapt and you will lose.
It be like that sometimes. Try using more of Ed's juke moves more. I'm telling you, you can get some pretty good mix up with his jukes. Also, you can juke backwards if you throw out one of your canceling buttons. Bob and weave, bob and weave lol.

Those who act like they are random and peak to never lose a match and those who act like they never struggle with an unusual gameplan. They are both capping. Sometimes you simply get steamed rolled by an unexpected flowchart.
It will work if your opponent is use to your current gameplan and you suddenly change to a total black from white spectrum.
I have a friend who plays excatly like this. The playstyle is soo annoying. However his playstyle help improve my punish combo and make the best out of it.
If they aren't annoying you by their style they aren't playing right. Lol I play like that for a reason. Shows me what I can n can't get away with. If you don't stop it I'll keep doing it until you stop me lol.
Seeing that 1st set made my anxiety level jump over 9000. I was " where are his AA's? HK works pretty good also. Nevertheless, I feel your pain sir lmao
Haven't gotten a chance to try out Street FIghter 6 yet (Purchased MK 1). Is Ken the Meta super villain at the moment? Every video I see showing a Ken player is met with either Fear, Anguish, disgust or some mixture of the 3.

I feel like this set of moves for Ken is a bot template that you encounter at all levels. Dragon lash ino jabs into DP. If that don't work dragon lash into throw. If that don't work cr MK into jinrai. If that dont work random DR or hadoken spam. It feels script-ish.
Need to back to combo trials as well

Smug not to backseat, but Ed does have an AA. He also has some of the best tools, so go play "lame" to win with him.
The amount of crazy non sense i have seen from players below 1700 MR:
1. Wake up Drive RUSH... i am Not shitting you. This happened when i was doing shimmy and suddenly dude decided to wake up DR... like how does that make any sense.
2. Wake up dragon slash... that left me speechless.
3. Neutral jump, land and Drive imact... wtf! are they thinking!?
4. Zangief users wake up SA1 thinking i would jump😂 - i can understand doing it one time, but this dude did it twice in 1 match (2 rounds). Why risking everything every time?
Finally the worst thing this week... 6 fu*king Ed in a row in rank... i rather play some ken, luke, jp these days.
That modern controls wouldn't be so bad if they only had specials linked to them and not the mashing into combos with one button online. One of the reasons I stopped sf6 after Rashid dropped. Mk1 suffers from its own bs too sadly

As a former ken main until Edward came back into my life. Yeah i agree, idk if its the fact hes blonde, rich, and kinda has that alpha chad vibe but yeah ken just turns me into an asshole in game with my friends lol.
Being a pressure player doesn't make u an @sshole. Just means you want to win lol. Best way to win is be unpredictable.

Who was mashing though? Seemed the Ken knew when and where to do what. If he was able to give smug a run for his money, I wouldn't say he was just mashing.

I don't know how to elaborate too much but I only really liked USF4, other fighting games don't appeal to me, I played less than 10 hours of SFV, tried a bit of gg but it ain't my cup of tea. Never bought SF6, but I still play SF4 so I'd guess I don't like fighting games I only liked the game I like if that makes sense
@@MagicienYT I started with Street Fighter 4 too and I believe it is one of the best SF games out there. So we have a similar taste. SF5 was really bad, I am not sure when you played it but on release I would say it was a failure. If you played near the end of the game (it was OK). SF6 is an interesting mix of 3rd Strike and SF4 with a newer take on SF.
I don't know your skill level or mentality or if you chase meta for competitive play or casual play. I play almost every fighting game at a semi-hardcore, slightly above average skill, SF6 is really good. If SF6 didn't exist, I would prob stick to Guilty Gear or Tekken tbh
One thing is for sure though. Only Street Fighter plays like Street Fighter. If you want that SF feel, you won't find an answer anywhere else. Maybe Tekken or Guilty Gear can be the one but... up to you
