I bought this for my mixer two years ago. I now have 3 huge books of ice cream recipes and during the summer, my freezer is always full of fresh home made ice cream. My favorite is Blueberry Cheesecake. Yum!

This video was the most helpful in putting on the attachment. The directions that came with ours showed a different piece!

it would have been nice if you reviewed the functionality of the device, given your title. If the title had said "Setting up your Ice Cream Attachment" then thats basically what you did. In a review I want to hear your thoughts about how it functions.

Thanks! Now I know how to attach mine when I make Charlie some non-dairy vegan ice cream tomorrow. (Ummm, yeah, not in the recipe booklet). And I bet he won't notice the difference - except that hopefully it tastes as awesome as it is creamy.

+patty hight Hi Patty, I'm pretty sure that model is a tilt head, I'm going to guess it would fit. If ever in doubt, make absolutely sure that you purchase from a place that has no hassle returns. Thanks for watching Patty :-)
They fit the ultra power. An ultra power like The Artisan is Just a beefed-up classic k45 tilthead mixer. I know your comment was 5 years old but there is one obscure tilthead KitchenAid called an Accolade which I think needs an adapter ring. The only mixer that ice cream maker won't fit is the Artisan Mini.
Dose this ice cream make fit ksm8990er stand mixer? I bought a red ksm8990 at amazon,there's 3 ice cream make at amazon, but I am not sure which one is fits kitchenaid ksm8990. Could you try it on your ksmc895? Thank you very much.
will this fit any of the kitchen aid mixers? i am going to get a stand mixer soon and some look different.
Hi Jessica, it fits on all standard mixers, I have a KA mixer that is about 30 years old and it fits perfectly on it, as well as one from just a few years ago. Good luck with getting a stand mixer, it will change your baking life. So fun, and can last you a lifetime. Thanks for watching :-)

That's an easy one. Contact KitchenAid directly, or the vendor you purchased the "part" from, and get a refund.
Oh, I have the pasta maker in the box - are you going to do an unboxing of that? I've had it for quite a few years, but never used...it's not the extruder. I need to research Gluten Free pasta recipes...

+Jayshree Saha Hi Jayshree, you can check your local KitchenAid authorized dealer, but they run from about $900 to $1000. They are a very expensive mixer.
