- A red tide, a red stain in normally aqua blue water, comes from a naturally occurring microorganism in the Gulf. It's leading to thousands of pounds of dead fish washing up on shore -- and having a human health effect as well. NBC’s Sam Brock reports for TODAY.

Wow. Heavies. She had some major heavies
This is totally natural. Nothing strange here. No need for concern. Nature at work.
From yours trully, every petro-chemical.
I mean, a red tide in itself is natural. What is not natural is having fertilizers, etc leeching into the ocean and feeding it.
Not the frequency
This is good, more vacations need to be ruined, more businesses need to fail. Having dead dolphins and dead fish wash up in peak tourism season on national TV is the only way Florida politicians might care for a minute. Their pockets are lined with polluting agriculture and commercial interests.
So you want fish to die to save fish?
Dude they don't care wrong people in charge immigrants to a land will never have the lands interest purely at heart like the natives would it's all by design of course
Algae have their own Spring break too😁😨😨
I live here in Tampa Bay Area; realistically I don’t see a solution for this state is way too populated. No one will ban fertilizer and go after Big Sugar. There are many other factors but that would be where to start
For a moment i thought you said ".. way too polluted." and I was almost going to mention excessive farming because of overpopulation.
It's very saddening to think that not enough people are aware of even care about these things that affect our environment and *natural way of life* .
We used to import a lot of our sugar from Mexico but the domestic corn/sugar lobby got our politicians to increase tariffs on sugar imports.
Florida Was a Swamp. Now its a Sewer. ENJOY.
It's called DISCHARGED WATER!!
A sign of the times
Thank you people really are blind
Been happening for probably longer than most of you have been around. It sucks but it will pass
@Brad Black I hope for all of our sake that your right! But based off of everything happening in the world idk.
It's a natural occurrence that happens every year.
@@hellomyfriends9740 nope! Not at this level. This is something biblical!
Florida is a 🔥 mess
Good thing we don't need water Gatorade has electrolytes!!!😊
Is this all compliments of the mining company that dumped the poison in the bay last year with the blessing of the EPA? Now it's caused a large bloom of seaweed.
Been happening since the 1700s. Did you know that? .its not new
college guy was like I didn't know red tie existed lolll really. That's like saying I didn't know fish swim in the water 😂😂😂💦 whatever college you going to I need to graduate with Honors.
I've never heard of it either. Also never been to a Florida beach
This is an issue near the south side of the United States.. not every person knows about it. Even here in NC we don’t have that issue.
Nobody teaches you about red tides unless you or your family is involved with it (fishing etc) I didn't know it existed until a month ago and I'm old
Imagine thinking the entire US population is just like you and your close friends and family... get a grip dude and get out from under the rock you call home.
Its cyano bacteria
Covid for fish😂
F Nature I want to go to beach , and clean this up!!!
First
🎉
Rotting fish at the beach you weirdos stop going to beach
7,000lbs of fish

I hope put ur feet in the sand but oh wait god says go home nah we tryna make money
lol...all the people leaving california to florida . The joke's on you
Atleast they get away from all the poop on the streets....also don't have to walk over ppl sleeping in the streets with needles sticking out of their arms. Yes...cali is certainly paradise at the moment.
Florida is on the right path. If you don’t like it….time to move
we are in the final days, repent
All praises to the most high god yes the most high wraith is here to stay
Guys, red tide has been along for a while.
Been happening for centuries....
@@rohan7759 you can't tell ppl that these days....they only know what the news tells them. The ppl on TV and their phones even tell them what to think....
