I got the svr 12s, love em, but after seeing this I have been steadily thinking the ddx may have been the best bang for the buck. The svr really bang so I can only imagine the ddx. SQ aside, They look so much louder. I heard svr has better sq for faster music and rock/metal but that's just what I'm hearing I've never heard how the ddx sound. I originally was setting my system up to just he a more balanced, loud system with good sq. But this is my first car audio system. And skar within a week converted me into a goddamn bass head lmao. I swear bro as the bass knob goes up higher and higher, logically I know I do not need sounds this loud. But I keep turning the bass knob. I am paying attention to guys like you, and I can see this is how the shit starts. And I now know and I have an understanding... That one day I'm gonna break somethin.
Flip the box and deadener the trunk seal all the gaps between the cab and box bro the bish will sound harder and cleaner..just an idea..I wish my lac seats folded down 😫 I can’t even cut an opening behind the seat dam sensors and computers up against it.
The DDX is the best subwoofer that skar makes. The VXF is good too. The EVL's are garbage, just look at the magnet on them lol. I'm going to run either 4 DDX 12's or 2 VXF 12's on 2 smart 3's.

when your notes hit voltage was dipping into the 12s early in the song, there is no way a stock alt and that small of an agm can support 3k, with box rise you probably have about double the power of that rp2k at 1 ohm with that smart 3, support that electrical brother especially is this a daily driver.
I need some help with this, my dilemma is that I'm running an Rp1200.1d and a 500w amp for the highs, and at idle I'm getting some dim on stronger bass hits at high volume. I don't yet have a voltage meter to monitor it. I'm really concerned about damaging stuff on my car. My stock alternator is rated 130a. It's a 2018 Chevy cruze LT. I'm trying to find the cheapest way to keep voltage proper. I'm considering getting a voltage monitor and an AGM. Just simple like yours. I know every situation is different, but do you think that could solve the problem? And allow me to also monitor what it's doing while it's pounding?
Yeah I was wrong. I looked at the dyno test of the jp23 and it does like 2500 at 1ohm. Now if you have the electrical you can run the jp23 at .08 and get 3000 or you can go. 05 ohm and get 4000. Not out is going to pull 490 amps. So you'll never see that unless you have a couple alternators and few batteries. I like the jp amps though. Korean board in it and the best bass knob out there. Measures voltage and temp of the amp
@@drewhooks764 .08= 8 hundreth's of an ohm, and .05= 5 hundreth's of an ohm, these ohm loads will blow 99.99% of ALL amp's! You mean .8 ohm= 8 tenth's of an ohm, or .5 ohm= 1/2 ohm= 5 tenth's of an ohm. Hope this help's to clarify thing's?
@@BassAddict91 Not even close if you are wired @ 1 ohm? Most enclosure's have 2 to 4x impedance rise, while playing music. So if you are wired @ 1 ohm to that smart 3k, you are getting 4 ohm to 2 ohm power on music= 1,500 to 3k. That jp23 would be putting out 700 to 1,400 @ 4 to 2 ohm power so half the power as the smart 3k on music. Where half bridge korean amps make power is wired to .5= 1/2 ohm, but contrary to what most think, while playing music, the impedance will be higher, than it will @ rest. Full bridge 1 ohm and higher impedance, korean built half bridge 1/2 ohm to make power.
Quick question for you haven’t had subs in a long minute just copped the evl 12 inch bass package the dual ones which taramp would be a good one to push them ? I know the package comes with the 2000 watt amp but everything I’ve read says those subs need something stronger. Throwing them in a 2009 Tahoe btw let me know anything you think I need to know appreciate it.
Always good to have extra power on tap. Go for the smart bass 3k just got one, it does all the rated power and then some. Make sure you got upgraded electricial or it won't be at its best!!
I have the same setup. I have the smart 3 bass and a gp audio sub up port back enclosure with same specs as the one he has but I have a hatchback so went with sub up port back. It slams for sure. Just added a 320 amp auto tech engineering alternator. Make sure you have serious electrical upgrades or you won't get the watts up to run them. You could get a Korean amp which would require less electrical upgrades.

So prob. 1k to 2k total power to your subs on music. If you blow your subs it wont be from over powering them. Clipping, box size, port area, or improper cross over, could blow them quicker than your amp's power.

I was just wondering how much abuse they could take, I know they would blow easily on dirty power, or in a poorly designed enclosure. I personally use an oscilloscope to tune my amp, but luckily my amp has a clipping indicator and it's pretty accurate 👍. I ended up buying different subs because I didn't want to overpower the skars

Ddx is 2.5" voice coil. 1000 rms.
Honestly I’ve had both and for the lows I like the evls better.

No it just has a clipping monitor light you have to run a separate bass knob. I have a ds18 bass knob on my taramps smart 5k
