I just read a report of how 7 families walked out together because of a SA In their hall. It made me so happy to see people walking away esp to protect their children

I'm ready to have ex JW get-together healing parties. I do feel lonely, and I need to find my people. People who will not judge and people who love me. I was in a total of 6 different congregations from moving around per them. Me and my family are well known, and I'm excited to find my true friends. We are not dead, and we are welcoming you. ❤

5 or 6 years ago there were 2 congs in my area and as attendance dropped they joined the 2 together and increased the size of the area. All of a sudden the hall was full again because members from both congs were there but 5 years later the hall is half empty again because people died off/left and they haven't been replaced. I would suspect the attendance has halved over the last few years and covid gave people the ideal opportunity to leave and the fade rate was tremendous. There is no way the growth rate is anything like positive and no way baptisms are on the increase but the GB cannot tell people this or they lose faith!!
You’re 100% correct! The month before my husband and I faded, the hall went to Zoom because of COVID! We were both so relieved at how easy it was to leave!!
Most of the growth actually came from African countries and southeast Asian countries where the message appeals to poor people. But there was more leaving, then coming in to actually have less overall growth than the ones from these countries.
Most of the countries are seeing a decline or very little increase
@@CdnPIMOyou are 100% correct I'm glad I'm in South Africa but managed to detect their bullshit I only escaped two weeks back after being a PIMO for 10 years.
Our congregation is a bit different, we had a ton of members prior to covid, my family has been out for 8 years, but outside the KH the carparks were full and cars were always piled up the road because there was never enough car parks. But after covid, the KH carpark always had spare parks, but in more recent months it's starting to fill up again. This was straight after the AGM when they got excited about the great tribulation about to start.
That being said, we are living in a growing city where people are moving in from major centre's.

Great job Wally. Sorry for your troubles, if I wasn't 3000 miles away I'd come diagnose your furnace for CO because that's what I do. It's most likely that the chimney/vent is clogged if it's an older unit. Newer ones will often just shut down on their own. I distinctly remember an elderly couple partake at the memorial each year, folks would do a little golf clap and buzz with excitement.

Dont forget the figure of people who leave without being disfellowshipped or disassociating, the GB will still use that figure as legitimate that you’re baltised, you count. Imagine if all faders disassociated themselves then that baptised witnesses number would fall hugely. That is why I disassociated myself so they could not use my baptism in their numbers.

Wally comparing Watchtower to Blockbuster is not a weird business analogy. It’s right on, it’s a brilliant analogy. I have a close family member who is still going to meetings. But I’ve noticed that even her is starting to stay home many times and not going to meetings. From observing close and not so close family members, I’ve noticed they start “watching” or “listening” to meetings online. When watching or listening to meetings it’s easy to become distracted by this or that and soon they are missing much of the meeting or not watching the meeting “on Zoom” anymore. Great video as usual Wally. Take care of your self brother. You are doing a lot of good.

I've had no heat for the past 6 years! My JW elder brother said "Aaaaawh..." in response to my situation. I have not yet died and have developed an appreciation for global warming. Hey!... I'm learning about the love of "Jehovah's people".

The stories I can tell you over 28 years, most recently I had a massive pulmonary embolism, blood clots settled in my lungs and stopped my heart, got one "visit" from a witnesses around the corner of me when I asked if she would mind doing my shopping I'd pay for it just can't physically do it, there was a scrollllll of excuses, no help to get to the doctor's, when I complained one Circuit overseers wife asked, well where is your husband!, I was like not all of us are being maintained by the org like you, my husband has to WORK so we can have food to eat. BUT when we stopped zoom and reporting hours y'all have the AUDACITY to be a nuisance now?! Some love 😂 it's just on paper and " dramatizations" and status be a BIG deal for them, the richer and influential you are the more merciful they are.

Bible studies with JW children always counted when I was in. So the uptick is in large part kids.
Wally I have contemplated taking a whole group of ex JW’s to the next memorial locally so we can all partake! I left in 99’ and have been pretty silent, but I’m now truly over the bs! I have sisters who live in neighboring congregations, one is two hours away, and one in a neighboring state. We even have an ex JW from my congregation who is online doing his own meetings on the Watchtower. His wife is my sister’s best friend. She still attends the local congregation, while her husband has his own followers online. He uses the witness publications and compares the NWT to another bible with each scripture involved. At one time before Covid he actually had his own place of meeting, but I don’t see it advertised anymore. To me listening to the Watchtower study takes me back to the dogma being smashed down my throat again, as it was for so many years. No more, I’m done. Thank you for your hard work keeping us updated on where things are with the org. Of course since Covid many have faded and their elders or PO don’t even have a clue..😉

We were 10 in my family. I was the first to wake up in 2019 for various reasons. so far 7 of us are awaken and faded/inactive! Last 3 out was in 2023 !

I think the ones that would find it difficult to change are the ones like my mother (Without giving her age, I'll just say she's old enough to collect Social Security).
I've already seen the changes locally and see many people lack the enthusiasm to even want to go. You can just see how exhausted people (even those who I saw as energetic kids and now in their 20's) look during the midweek meeting. Also I think what happened in Australia.... and now Japan and Norway (brilliant for Norway to debunk the shunning the JW lawyer said doesn't happen, by playing the video to the court).

Those publishers numbers are roughly the same for 15 years? Yeah right NY Kings! I bet they are still counting us unless we officially are announced as “… is no longer one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.” Always felt weird when they started announcing this way in the early 2000’s.

I was watching you yesterday when you were talking about your furnace. All of a sudden my power went out! The wind knocked out some wires, but for a minute there, i thought i was cursed too!! Anyway, i hope you got the furnace fixed. Good catch with the carbon monoxide.
I was brought up in the Christadelphians and as far as I can tell they are also getting few converts and lots of people leaving too. They are a bit like Jehovah's Witnesses, but not as centralized and fewer in number. In the 19th century there were a lot of these restorationist sects forming and interacting with each other -Mormons, Adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses and lots of groups that no longer exist, or which have splintered or merged.

I think the org has been dying since 1975. Their best year ever was only possible with a rallying "end of the world" prediction, lack of internet, and the other churches providing competition, which they really don't anymore.
As you say, there really is no reason to be a witness anymore because there is no "end date" and if the end is just a "someday" idea, and an ever foolish looking list of rules is required to do... what exactly?

Hi Wally🖐, I know the feeling.On my last video, the computer simply didn't restart, the graphic card fried due to an electric overload. Thanks to the external backup could save partial part of the video but the sound when playing the video one can hear the before and after , cause had to finish it on the potatoe laptop🙄 Have a nice day🫶🖖
I agree - the religion is approaching a threshold of not being captive to those who wish to leave. The cat seems to be out of the bag that there is community, support and sustainable freedom on the outside. Once someone has heard of a handful of other local people who left and are doing fine, it feels doable. I call it ‘a tipping point.’ The religion will be around for a long time for those who enjoy it; the issue has been the exaggerated power over the lives of people who wish to leave.
If publishers are fudging their hours on their monthly reporting card, they're only following what the org has been doing for their yearly report. Not truthful, so that's why they probably don't require reporting them anymore.

13:47 wally, it's not so much if the the gb is telling the truth, its whether the rank and file lies about their hours in the ministry, which is 100% the case. So the gb can only report the data that they're given

Conventions, Assemblies, videos, buildings, literature, campaigns: it's all the product they sell to the customers, JWs, on a voluntary subscription model. When something no longer makes them money, they ax it (see most print literature, RBC with volunteer labor).
Wally check to see if the CM alarm is not over 10 years old. Sometimes they go bad. Also always have a small electric heater as a backup in case something like this happens.
Wally my CO alarm went off in my house recently and it was the alarm that was faulty. Get someone in to check both your boiler and the alarm as it might be that rather than the boiler. I was lucky as it was a warm part of the year for me when this happened
The older ones are dying off at a fast rate and not enough people to replace them

The Hall around the corner from where I live in QLD Australia Sunshine Coast, has i think 3 congregations using this hall at different times, doesn't sound like growth to me. Thanks Wally, great perseverance Lets face it the Organization lies a lot to the rank and file in order to make themselves look better. Good luck when the younger internet informed generation grow up, the golden oldies are starting to dwindle.
I'm assuming that next year, there won't be a very detailed annual report, since they don't have to turn in time or bible studies anymore, except for pioneers.
