I travel long distance by train on Amtrak, I love & enjoy train travel very much, I also enjoy watching passenger train & railroad videos. I have on display in my living room books on trains & railroads. I will be traveling more by Amtrak train in the future as the train is the civilized way to travel and a great way to see a country.
I agree with the statement that the castle/fortress depicted was not "Dracula's". Vlad II Dracul's (the impaler and true name) hilltop fortress is in ruins. Quite a legend he was, Impaling his enemies on long poles - through their rectums, through their bodies till it came out of their mouths - all to very effectively dissuade enemies from attacking. Warriors seeing this would not follow their commanders at that point and ran away. Apparently it had the desired effect. He also, as history tells, drank his victim's blood to transfer their prowess. No wonder why, Stoker wrote that book. Great video and thanks.
I had the opportunity too visit Romania just after the revolution.I was totally impressed with the citizens i met.A 12oz draft beer was (amer.equiv.)six (6)cents but they stuck you on the glass of wine.8 cents!!
Love the video! Am I the only one who, if taking that train, would be secretly disappointed at the lack of murders en route? If skimping on the murders, surely they could have at least bothered to vanish one miserly lady... Train travel just isn't quite what it used to be!

was the 'see how the other half travels' comment really necessary? if the 'other half' didn't pay and travel on those train tracks there wouldn't be a rail system for elitist snobs
Roberto Golisano Quando ío visto questo video prímo, stato un momento molto bene! Ungheria! Ma se si si díce la veritá, si debba pensare, che Mark smith sía non normale realmente! Come mai? Perché ci sono voli diretti trá Istambolo e Vecsés. Atenzione! Gli aeroporti non sono in cittádove il biglietto scríve! Esempi: Vudapest aeroporto é a Vecsés, in un comune non lontano da Budapest. O l'aeroporto Charles de Gaules a Roisy, non a Pariggi! O Roma!
Great video, I love train journeys second only to river cruises. Thank you for posting.
Great video! Love it that you used captions and left the train rolling along as the audio. Spot on! Thanks
I have never heard of this trip - I must put it on my list. Thank you for your great video.
A lovely trip, though priced beyond what most of us could afford. The tours at some of the stops would make it a memorable experience.
you can make the journey with normal trains and it will cost you only a fracture of this. Of course it is not as comftable, but more original.
Nice video. I live in Brașov and in each year I see this beautifull train.
Fascinating to watch love these type of train journeys

Is the lady in the cabin your wife? I only ask because you always seem to be traveling alone.
She's his mistress for during these more distant railway journies.
I love the idea of having a live pianist in the bar car :D

No. As long as you book in the right place for the right journey. London-Paris from £44, Paris-Milan from €29, Paris-Nice from €25, and do on
hahahahaha
wow that was cheap for a luxury train like that

I really love your travelogues, but the comment about how the other half travels really soured me. Maybe consider re-editing to remove it.
Brassó ,Segesvár,Erdély.
Didn’t realize that this was a tourist junket train....
11:45 LOL (ironically, this is in a terrible condition, and the mayor of Budapest builds a stadium that costs 140 billion forints!!

03:59... Watched many of your videos and enjoyed them, but this remark is arrogant, rude shallow minded and pathetic !
Andrew Flyer you must be an American! So very sensitive.
Romania is terrible...
Romania is a very beautiful country!
We toured over most of Romania, and saw nothing terrible. Define terrible.
