    Thanks for the lesson. I could to the pride and joy kind of groove but never figured out rude mood. I never thought to strum quieter. When ever I tried to play it all you could her was me strumming. Not sure of you also uploaded a killing floor lesson, but that helped me a lot too. Thanks

    You are a very good teacher and I will, in the near future, get around to a donation for you. Thank you!!

      Thanks for the kind comment. Don't worry about a donation. I ended that because I came to think it was a dumb idea. But I appreciate it!

      Sure. I'm still working on Lenny. I got the main parts down. When I feel I've approximated it, I'd be happy to do some videos.

    Hey... I have my guitar in standard tuning and it doesn't sound like whatever tuning yours is in.. can someone please help me with this ??

    • @Swinbad
      @Swinbad  7 лет назад +4

      Shodthemod I am probably in E flat tuning, as the song was originally in E flat. Can't exactly remember...

    • @shodthemod8233

      Hey man!! Thanks a lot for replying to me. I eventually found out. Yeah it was an E flat tuning. I've been learning both your videos all night. Thanks for the help.

    Great video! Do you have any advice on how to best mute the strumming on the off beats? I'm having the greatest trouble with that. Thanks!

    • @Swinbad
      @Swinbad  7 лет назад +2

      40akrooxblood just try lifting your finger off the string just enough to mute it every time you fret a note.

    Do you have any tips for playing sloppy like you do?

    • @Swinbad
      @Swinbad  3 года назад

      Indeed! It takes years of practice.
      One thing that helps is to get married and have five kids. Then you won’t have any time to practice on your play will just get sloppier and sloppier and sloppy…

    The ONLY lesson on the web for this song and the teacher comes up with the idea to teach it without volume? Smh.....

    • @Swinbad
      @Swinbad  4 года назад

      douginny sorry! My kids were babies when I did this and I couldn’t turn it up. Later lessons have the amp on. Hope you still find it helpful

      @@Swinbad It's the greatest lesson ever! Such a hard song. Thank you

      @Swinbad  4 года назад

      douginny no problem. Look, I’ll try to re-upload this video with an amplifier on it. I’ve gotten so many comments about that… I never realized it would get this many views!

    • @douginny

      @@Swinbad Look at it this way. It is one of SRV's greatest songs. On that 1989 MTV unplugged special, this was one of the two songs he played. And there is NOT ONE lesson on the entire web devoted TO IT, except yours. You should do it again because people will reference your lesson long after we're gone. SRV music will out live all of us and people are gonna want to know how to play it.
