I've had Dr Dan as a personal vocal coach in the past and can 100% recommend him and his teaching method. I have gradually increased my ability to sing over the years and am getting to a point that I am satisfied with my abilities as a singer (With still, much more growth to go!), and, I attribute much of this growth to the early practice I did with Dr Dan in our one on one coaching, and the knowledge he shares online. To this day, EVERY day, I practice Dan's vocal warmup exercises. I highly recommend him as a person and as a teacher!
It's singing, so you'd think the full benefit might come from just listening to the audio But there's something being able to watch the practice that is very helpful. Especially in the lip bubbles and sirens. Many thanks for this.
Dr. Dan, I love your earthiness and straight forward style of vocal coaching. You even admit to a mistake and for me that made me an instant and lifelong fan of you, your videos and your voice lessons. Please keep up the good work and thank you so for sharing your knowledge of singing and your love of music with the rest of the world:)

Hey Doc. Love this lesson, now use it everytime before working through your exercise CD or practising songs. Is there value in a warm up like this on it's own? I.e. on a day I can't fit a full practice will a 5 to 10 warm-up add value? Also how long can a warm up last? I.e. how much before a gig can I do my warmup before it wears off? Thanks!
Ok, I've stumbled on this interesting intro to vocal warm ups. I've been joining the exercises. It seems like a good idea. I like singing. And every few weeks i find the songs I'm feeling and let myself enjoy expression. At home, mostly alone, sometimes when a friend is visiting. So just for me. I've pressed pause at the lip bubbles demo! And laughed my ass off! I can't do lip bubbles! Maybe i need more water, mouth too dry. I see myself practising this technique in a bath or pool. Just to get the lips moving right. So, if this is part of better singing. , Thankyou I've found an area that i could improve very quickly!
@@DrDanRobinson ahhh. Thankyou. That does help. I have a feeling my untrained voice and lack of considerations up till now has had an effect. I suspect inefficient muscle pathways for certain. Adding a tone at all is challenging. And stress. Tension in my shoulders is nearly standard. Thankyou.

If it tires easily I would look into videos to help with breath support. Like breath support exercises. And also, working out your whole body could help! Like swimmingg maybe

I think that this is the main reason (not having all airblow to my mouth, in order to create a trill sufficiently. ) Meanwhile, I got used to humming. Siren exercices will be also effective if only I hum and use NGs... Thank a lot.

This is JUST EXCELLENT!! Thank you Dr Dan for your nice support!🌺🌺🌺🌺👍👍👍👍
You are very welcome
Thanks!
Thank you Dr Dan
It really helped me..
You're welcome PVpop. Thanks for watching.
Hello Dr. Dan I'm watching you, from Philippines, and I gonna do this exercises in a daily basis
I'm glad you enjoyed the video Robespierre Solindao. Thanks for watching.
When said "no pushing" at 6:45 I was pushing :'D
Thank you dr dan for singing tips
Always welcome

Thankyou.
Hey dan! When I buy the voice essentials will I be able to download it or there’s only cds?
Yes. The tracks come as a zip file from which you extract the individual mp3 tracks.
I love following along . as a DJ its all bout the beatmatch haha . I feel born again
Just tried the bubbles. You should see the look on my corgi’s face. Precious
Thank you !!! Its a perfect warm up to free up my voice !!
You're so welcome!
Thank you so much

Dr, is it possible that by only doing this warm up each day can improve my voice singing.?
Thank you dr dan, im being helped by your video instructions 😀
Wonderful
You are my number 1
Great lesson! I have both of your CDs and found this to be very informative and helpful.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video Johnny Guitar. I hope I made it clear that in this instance we are simply using the tracks for vocal warm-up, but in fact, the exercises provide much more in the way of technical development.
@Dr Dan's Voice Essentials Yes, I understand. I use the CDs for both warm ups and technical development. One day I may have to change my name from Johnny Guitar the Johnny Vocalist :-)
My voice cracked in the yaaaa...... one
"...a bit 'how's your mother?'." Love it! Totally grok it Dr. Dan.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video Larry Ming. Thanks for watching.
Hi DR.Dan, my name is Sylvain and i have been singing for a long time but since the pandemy, i almost did not sing on a regular basis , only from time to time.i started again recently, working on the 4th album of my progressive rock band and i am doing your exercises and vocal warm ups, it helps but from day to day my voice is not consistent, and it seems there is always something stuck somewhere that makes my voice cracks, there are days when all seems fine days when this happens . i feel the whole region upper chest and neck tires easily or is it just a sensation, any advice on how i can improve this and find my confidence again
If it tires easily I would look into videos to help with breath support. Like breath support exercises. And also, working out your whole body could help! Like swimmingg maybe
