Whenever I'm returning from Salt Lake I'm always mesmerized by this building due to the palm trees planted at that height. The design of this feels like four of our normal-sized flats will fit in the duplex. Cudos to whoever worked their way up to be able to afford something like this for themselves. Also, love the concept of placing the balcony beside the kitchen, it just open things up more and lets in a lot of light into the cooking area which is almost missing in most Indian flats.
this is probably the most iconic building of Kolkata. Have seen it's building since it's land was probably just being planned. even the 42 isn't this iconic.
The Architecture is beautiful and profound. As long as the house is afforded because of someones sheer hard work, talent and dedication, I have nothing but congratulations for them. I aspire to work hard and have such a beautiful house one day.
I first saw this building being constructed back in 2014 (or 2015 may be). It took long time to finish this project. Good to see this building in its final form.

They are being developed now into very good neighborhoods. Metropolitan Housing, Anandapur, Kalikapur, Tangra, Topsia are some of them. A lot of development is taking place in these areas, apart from Newtown, Rajarhat, and Garia. I suggest you to open your eyes. There are nearly 14 million residents who call this city their home.

again most of all Kolkata is humid and hot, so glass panels look exquisite and yet harmful cause it traps more heated sunrays thus raising the inside temp and eventually running air con for extended periods of time. I urge architectures to both get inspired by scandinavian design and aesthtics but also look forward to India climate condition.
Well I am never going to live in Kolkata. what the point of buying luxury flat in midst of slums and poverty all other public facilities available in Kolkata will be garbage plus weather is not good so Kolkata is waste. Rather I would go and buy cheap house in greater noida and some where other becz all other public facilities like roads other infrastructure, malls and neighborhoods and people will be more good here in greater noida as compare to poor of Kolkata. Hill stations are also not a large distance from noida. Also considering sea level Kolkata may gets submerged to sea level in 2050 or in 2100s. Also Kolkata have Bangladeshi problems and this region is in Bengal and Bengal politics sucks as their people don't want any new things to come and they don't adopt development.

Actually, even the richness of people is also deliberately underestimated because of our taxation regime. Hence, the gap would be even more stark in reality. Great masterpiece...but you should tell into a real estate perspective as well not just with architectural aspects only. For example the price of flat, possession period and all.

It's really outstanding design and floor planning, hard work to put make it remarkable living place. But on the other side it seems to be more on gray side which represent more depression mode. Not sure why owner has choose the color combination on gray side where he has 3 teenager. Color combination makes the dull impression of the Duplex. People who are living there will naturally attract to go and spend more time in balcony instead of staying in the house. Personally I think this could be better if the color/shades are more on the brighter side.
Researching for architects in Bangladesh, however it seems like alot of them do not have the quality as the gentleman in this video. I probably get in touch with him and see if it is possible to design and build for me a contemporary flat. Who were the construction company in this video??? Thanks.
O the architects after this marvellous projects kindly focus on regreening the city with compact space, this only cement and concrete is one of the most problem creating and choking the city, 2024 the city is getting boiled with this only cemented structures.
The mirror opposite dining is oddly placed on ground.. it should & must have hanging on wall centrally to make it look symmetrical to emit positive vibes .. I could not see it with the negative energy it emits..

Outdoor furniture is made of different materials but yes wear n tear is definitely there. Even the colour of wood changes!
Those are all weather furniture.. yeah they need it to be cover by plastic in heavy rains.. but no such big issues will be there as the material is weather proof only!!
The rich and poor divide almost impossible to ignore , don't know how can such things be acceptable by the govt. To not improve the overall society not just few top numbers, its really sad kolkata's plight.
