Man this was simply outstanding work. Ive always been more old-school and prefer the empire/orcs/ulthuan etc. But these videos just provoke a massive interest to the story as a whole. Greatest lore channel out there!

Hello, mate. You have a very good channel and I like your lore videos, from which I have a lot of fun and much information about the fantastic world of Warhammer. May I ask a question: Could we have a video (or a series of videos, if possible) about the relationship between these Champions of Chaos and the other characters we find in the Chaos Realms campaign? Like Valkia with Skarbrand and Prince Ivan, aka Houdekai, Festus with Ku'garth, Azazel with N'kari and Vilitch with Sigvald the Magnificent and Kairos Fateweaver? I would very much learn how these are related together and the favoured Daemon Princes, aka the Librarian and the other Daemon Princes we find when we fight against each God of Chaos in the Chaos Realm campaigns. Thanks in advance and have a nice time.
In Warhammer Total War, specifically in these campaigns, you can sacrifice the souls of the Lizardmen to the two Chaos Gods Slaanesh or Nurgle (making them end up in the Six Circles of Seduction or the Plague Garden).
But which of the two has more power to seduce or corrupt the souls of Saurus and Kroxigors?
How would it turn out?

Festus is kinda confusing in a sad way didn't he know that nurlgle won't let someone cure his diseases?
Going off on the lore blurbs from the game Nurgle overloaded his mind with knowledge of plagues to the point of destroying his mind and empathy. Plus I doubt Festus expected to draw Nurgles attention with his prayer for help in curing the disease he couldn’t find a cure too and could only watch as it killed his patients.
Can you maybe do this type of video but per god. Like a video dedicated to all chamions of khorne or all greater demons or princes of khorne. And then the same about nurgle, etc
The thing about the champions is that, for the most part, their lore is quite limited. I've looked into Valkia and Vilitch, and short of reading their novels verbatim, there's not really a whole lot you can expand on for them. I don't know much about Azazel before this release, but Festus is closer to Valkia and Vilich than he is to one of the "bigger" Chaos characters like, say, Skarbrand or Ku'Gath or Archaeon. There's not really enough material about them for a full video.

I'm just wondering, what in Azazel's history made him align with Slaneesh? Might have overlooked something, but he seamed more like a vengeful angry character, rather that lust driven, and I like when even the human before the demonic blessing already exude the chaos god's specific temptations.
Gerréon, thé mortal that would become Azazel was quite prideful and often cruel. If I remember correctly, he was quite the womanizer and often casually cruel with his conquest. He took great prize in his appareance, especially his black raven long hair. One day, a friend of Gerréon mocked this. A fight ensued and Guerréon broke his wrist. This wound prevented him from participating to the battle in which his twin lost his live. He blamed Sigmar for this. But in truth, it’s was his pride and only his pride which was the real culcript. A prime quality for a futur demon prince of the lord of excess.
Fun fact : Guerréon during his travel to the North met a young boy whose all tribe member has just been slained by Unberrogen (Sigmar tribe). The boy name was...Morkar (indeed the one who became the very first Everchosen of Chaos ^^)
Slaanesh isn't just lust, it's desire and self-gratification of all kinds plus a hefty dose of envy.
In addition to @Toirneachgames it was probably Slaanesh which convinced Azazel to strike out at Sigmar.
Oh to also add to the Morkar funfact, not only did he meet the first everchosen, he also trained him.

How about a video on the workings of Ulthuan. I'm very lost on the subject is it a single kingdom under the Phoenix king or a bunch of separate kingdoms? Princely states under one hegemon or perhaps an alliamce of sorts. Are the noble families and leaders of the elves princes, dukes, kings, queens or something else? How about the mages how do they fit into the polotical scheme of things?

If I remember correctly, Ulthuan is made of 10 kingdoms ruled by Princesses or Princes. But all of these kingdoms owe service to the Phoenix King and the Everqueen, while the role of Phoenix King is elective the Everqueen is always the eldest daughter of the Phoenix King and the last Everqueen. There’s also to note that one of these 10 kingdoms is always ruled by the Everqueen (The Kingdom of Avelorn)
For the mages, they also can become princes but have to be part of the noble families.

First let me say thanks for another great video. Second i am gonna ask a really dumb question but i'm new to the Warhammer lore. Are there any gods of Order/Light/Good. I've heard about the Chaos gods thanks to Choyers videos. But i cant find anything about gods of order/light/good. I've seen the Sigmar video but i'm still not even sure if he is really a god. I've seen where the Chaos gods don't mind helping out their followers. But it seems like the order/light/good gods just sit on their thumbs and do nothing. If some one can please point me in a direction that might answer my questions about any gods of order/light/good. I would be extremely grateful.
Hey! I am by no means the lore master of the channel but I know a few things that I get told by viewers, the writers, and what I pick up from the games. I know there are Gods like Ulric which I think is the main god of the Empire? And Ursus is in Warhammer III which is like the god for Kislev. I also know of Manaan who is like a Poseidon adjacent god for men, the Nehekhara pantheon of Gods like Ptra, Usirian, and Geheb, and the Dwarven Ancestor Gods Grimnir, Valaya, and Grungni. Hope this helps even a little bit
I'm more of a 40k person, but I believe that the Elves still have gods, such as Khaine, the Elves' god of war and blood. I don't know how many of them are still alive though.

While there is not universal gods of order, almost all of the non chaos aligned factions have their own gods. All of the Elves share the same pantheon, Gork and Mork are the Greenskins gods, The Ogre Kingdoms worship the great Maw, the Dwarfs having their own pantheon, The Lizardmen worship the old ones like gods but also worshiping other gods like Sotek, Kislev has its own pantheon, The Empire has it’s own pantheon too (there might be some sharing between the empire and Kislev in terms of gods but I’m not sure), The tomb Kings still worship the gods of Nehekara. There’s also the possibility of The dragon emperor and his children being the gods of Cathay. Let’s also not there is also the great horned rat (he becomes a chaos god in Age of Sigmar) and Ashut the god of the Chaos dwarves.
Vilitch was completely justified in his actions as far as I'm concerned. Bullies deserve nothing less.

Azazel is a deamon prince, once mortal and now ascended (like Daniel the make your own deamon prince). The main mortal champion of slaanesh would be sigvald although he's already in the game

The story of Vilitch is the deepest and most believable. Azazzel and Festus backgrounds seem rushed and shallow. Dude going to war with the orcs and expects no casualty, then blame his king for the casualty of his brother. Really?

There is also a description, but I can't recall where it is from, that explains that Daemonettes mimic what they think we find attractive. Which is why, seeing as most fans of 40k are males, they have a more feminine appearance. They know male humans tend to like the opposite of their sex, but since Slaanesh is a hermaphrodite they just lean towards female.
I.E/TL:DR Slaanesh and their champions/daemons function the same way humans think they know what dogs think. You can ascribe your own concepts and sentience to their behaviors, but you will never really know what your dog is thinking.

Nah it's a Gw issue lol. Age rating and morality issues probably. Back in the 80s the Christian parents will all have an aneurysm if the kids came back with some super sexy looking man, where as modern day "values" will call it sexist or some shit. This is the best they can do. I still remember the older daemonette minis, probably caused too much controversy.
At any rate though it can all be put down to shapeshifting. Like N'kari appearing as a classic elven beauty to seduce the Ulthuan snobs and shapeshifting into rule 63 malekith when he got caught and forced to serve him.
So in summary, they are hot, classically speaking. We just don't get to see them anymore.

I was talking about the OPs comment but doesn't it say that demons appear differently to all who see them and cos that's a bit difficult to show in a model, so maybe to your grail knights he looks nothing like you see him as.

I have 6000 hours in TWWH2 and about 5 hours in TWWH3. The minor settlement battles are so tedious and stupid that I cried and uninstalled. NEVER listen to a complaining minority and completely change your game.
You should give it another try, there are allot of good changes other than the minor settlements.
Better than the boring ass field battles of the previous two games and is was not a complaining minority that caused the change. Minor (and major) settlement battles were almost universally disliked. You are the complaining minority.
